The winner of our "Pet of the month" Facebook contest for October is Maci!
Maci's mom write out a little letter to share about her.
"First of all, thank you all so much for voting Maci as the Pet of the Month for October! We appreciate all of your votes and all of the applicants are absolutely precious. Each have our votes and are all winners!
Maci is a spunky 13-year-old poodle who proves that age is just a number!
Maci spent the last 12 years living in Dubai, UAE before moving to Crown Point this past December.
She absolutely loves and lives for her walks and completely adores her parents.
While she deals with separation anxiety, Dr. Tyler and his amazing staff always make her feel right at home when we make a visit!
This past July, Maci was diagnosed with oral melanoma. While there is no cure, she is a fierce fighter. We chose the "gold standard" treatment to hopefully extend her vibrant life, and Maci bravely conquered four rounds of radiation and four doses of the ONCEPT vaccine, not to mention the surgery Dr. Tyler performed on her to get the horrible diagnosis.
Going outside always equals a treat (or two). If we forget to give her favorite treats, she will completely stare them and us down until she is given them.
Maci truly completes our family, and we love her with our whole hearts.
