I created a Blog! 😍

For the past year I've had so many people tell me I need to put my teaching and tools into writing and create a blog to support more people. So I decided it's time.

This is the first of many new things to come within Elevate Life.

Sometimes you just need to pause, go within and reflect on where you've been, where you are at, and where you want to be.

I took a deep pause in July and realized it's time to take a new path and shift to honor how much I've grown and realize there are things that are no longer in alignment with where I am and want to be.

It was only fitting to create my first blog on taking a pause.

Welcome triggers into your life, for they show you the areas you are not free.

Whatever is triggering you take a moment to pause and look within.

Where is this trigger coming from?
How old is the trigger?
What is this trigger trying to teach you or tell you?

When we are triggered by something or someone. It's not about the person or situation. It's about what's running inside of you that's getting triggered and causing the response.

Once you begin to go within and understand the triggers and begin to heal them. You will begin to notice you're no longer having the triggers to those situations or people. It's such a freeing feeling.

So much beauty in Maui.

I am so blessed and grateful to have recently taken a family trip to witness and experience all the beauty here.

A place that reminds me to slow down, to pause, to observe, and fully enjoying life just as it is.

It's a great reminder in our everyday lives to pause, to be the observer, to be the student within our own life.

To not just continue to run the same program, the same story, the same patterns on auto pilot each day.

I even started some knew reflection questions this week.

πŸ€” How can I be the observer, the student in my life today?

Then, at the end of the day, I ask myself.

πŸ€” How was I the student today?
πŸ€” What did I observe today that worked or didn't work?
πŸ€” What did I learn about myself today?

We are always growing, shifting, changing and evolving.

There is so much we can learn about ourselves if we are simply willing to pause and be the observer and ask questions of ourselves without any judgment!

You'd be surprised what you'll learn about yourself and why you do the things you do once you become the observer.

Your triggers and emotional reactions to people and situations are signs of what needs to be healed inside of you.

If you are easily triggered, start asking yourself what is it about this person, this situation that causes me to react or be triggered? What is it inside of you that is being triggered?

For it's not about the person or the situation. It's about what's running inside of you.

As you begin to heal, you also begin to heal the internal dialog and conflict you have with yourself.

🌱 You begin to be nicer, kinder, and more gentle towards yourself.
🌱 You begin to be less reactive.
🌱 Your nervous system slows down from fight and flight.

It can feel uncomfortable at times to heal. For our nervous system will pick a familiar hell vs. an unfamiliar heaven.

But when you decide to become uncomfortable and begin to heal, it soon becomes comfortable and is so worth all the uncomfortableness.

Being mindful and practicing meditation are two ways to help bring you into the present moment.

They can help you get you out of the what if's thinking, the reliving events over and over again, and the creating events that haven't happened yet and reduce those anxious thoughts and feelings.

Anxiety can feel as if it is uncontrollable. BUT I promise you... you do have the ability to control it and no longer allow it to control you.

We can tend to be in survival mode and not even realize it.

Survival mode is part of our DNA it's a part of who we are.

But many times, we are stuck in this survival mode, which cause our nervous system to think it needs to be on alert and in fight or flight.

Begin to notice the signs and recognize when and how often you are in survival mode.

Once you begin to recognize it, then you can begin to shift and change it.

My question for you is do you still need these walls today and are they still serving you?
Can you begin to look at these walls and understand why they are there and how they are serving you and can you begin to learn from them and take them down?
