✨ Let’s talk MENDS ✨

After a MOXI treatment, you’ll notice tiny dots that almost resemble coffee grounds. These are called MENDS - Microscopic Epidermal Necrotic Debris.

Here’s what’s happening in the skin:
⚡️ MOXI creates controlled micro-injuries in the skin. As your body starts to repair these injuries, pigment, old sun damage, and epidermal debris gets pushed up to the surface in the form of MENDS.

They may look like:
👀 Tiny brown or bronze pepper-like dots
👀 Fine speckles across the treated area
✋🏼 Slight roughness or sandpaper-like texture

Over the next 5-7 days, they will gradually flake or shed as the skin renews itself.
🛑 You do not want to pick or scrub them off!

🫵🏼 Your MENDS will look different from others.
- If you have more pigment or sun damage, you can expect more and/or darker MENDS.
- If you have minimal pigment or sun damage, your MENDS may look lighter, smaller, and shed faster.

✨ The intensity of your MENDS is a reflection of how much “old stuff” that needed to be cleared out. But if you didn’t have a full face of MENDS, that doesn’t mean your treatment didn’t work!

You may notice fewer MENDS with more frequent MOXI treatments simply because there is less accumulated pigment and damaged surface tissue for your skin to clear.

If you know Erin, you know there is truly no one quite like her. She is strong-willed, outgoing, silly, fiercely loyal, endlessly encouraging, and the kind of person who will do just about anything for the people she loves and for our business.

As part owner, she has poured so much of herself into The Lotus — but beyond the business, we are most grateful for the person she is to all of us. She shows up, helps wherever she’s needed, pushes us to be better, makes us laugh, and somehow always keeps things moving.
