A Balanced Approach LLC A Balanced Approach LLC provides in-home ABA services in Henderson, South (east or west) Las Vegas & Boulder City.

I have worked in the Autism Spectrum Disorder field for 20 years now. I started as a teacher assistant, moved into teaching, then classroom consulting, then the private arena. I’ve now worked with kids aged 3-16, in homes, schools and clinics, and I still love what I do!- but I want to by modeling more of “today’s ABA”- a compassionate, ethical, flexible, big picture, whole-family kind o

f Applied Behavior Analysis. There are massive gaps between 1:1 therapy and school, and I have a strong desire to bridge those gaps. I want to enmesh my teaching background with my ABA experience, and help more kids be more successful in doing so. I also want to provide more flexible services to families, because full-time, clinic-based services don’t work for everyone, and honestly- aren’t always needed. Therefore, the goal of A Balanced Approach is to balance home, school, and community as well as 1:1 services, small group and large group services. In addition to intensive family training and IEP advocacy, I am hoping to help families determine the creative combination of services and settings that work best for them and will ultimately help everyone achieve a better quality of life.

Hello families, friends & colleagues!

I wanted to share a potential resource!

New Horizons Academy is a K-12 "private school empowering students with learning differences" *and* they allow therapy teams in to support students!

We supported one of our friends there for a couple days during their summer camp, and it was a great experience! The staff was flexible, friendly and collaborative, and the space is very nice!

We saw happy, relaxed and engaged kids, and the power of meeting kids where they are and supporting their interests and strengths seemed evident!

They are currently enrolling for all grades for this coming school year!

If you/your child needs an alternative to public and/or charter schools, you should check them out!
