You finished the SAP program. So why does it still feel like you are not clear to drive?
Here is what a lot of drivers don't realize: the federal process and your state CDL are two different things.
Passing your evaluation and follow-up testing satisfies the DOT and the FMCSA Clearinghouse. But if North Carolina downgraded or suspended your CDL, that is a separate step you have to handle on your own.
You still have to go by the DMV and pay your reinstatement fee to get the state side straightened out.
The good news? You do not have to wait on anything else to do that. You can go ahead and restore your license right now so your state record shows clear while you look for your next driving job.
You are not doing anything wrong. You may just be missing that last piece of the puzzle.
Don't give up. The process is much more manageable than it feels right now.
Book your evaluation appointment this week, and let us get your North Carolina return-to-duty process finished so you can get back behind the wheel.
