🐝We had plans in the apiary today… but the bees had a big surprise for us. We thought sourwood harvest was still days away.

For just a few weeks each summer, the sourwood trees bloom, and if the weather is just right, our bees create one of the most extraordinary honeys in the world. Delicate and buttery with notes of toasted marshmallow and caramel, finishing with warm gingerbread and anise. LIQUID GOLD 🍯💛

🌭Join us tomorrow, Friday, July 3, for a special Hendersonville Farmers Market Evening Market as we celebrate America's 250th Birthday!🎇

For one weekend only, we're trading our traditional Saturday morning market for an evening on Maple Street from 5:00 PM–8:00 PM. Come enjoy fresh local food, handmade goods, live music, and a fun night!

We'll have FREE hot dogs (while supplies last), live music by Jacob Dunham, a Kid's Zone, face painting inside the Historic Train Depot, yard games, and plenty of opportunities to shop local while celebrating with the community.

Please note: This special Friday Evening Market replaces our regular Saturday Farmers Market this weekend. We'll be back to our normal Saturday schedule next weekend

On Saturday, July 4, the Historic Hendersonville Train Depot will host a free Independence Day celebration from 10:00 AM–2:00 PM featuring a Blue Ridge Southern Railroad diesel locomotive, interactive model train layouts, railroad history exhibits, scavenger hunts, telegraph demonstrations, and activities for kids. The nearby N Scale Model Railroad Club will also be open. Admission is free, and both locations will be open rain or shine.
