Not all SPF is created equal—and not all skin tolerates every formula.

Sunscreen isn’t one-size-fits-all. The way a formula protects your skin matters just as much as that it protects your skin.

There are two primary types of UV filters:

☀️Inorganic (mineral) — zinc oxide, titanium dioxide. Sits on the surface and reflects UV. Typically better tolerated by sensitive, reactive, or post-treatment skin.

☀️Organic (chemical) — avobenzone, octinoxate, octisalate, etc. Absorb UV and convert it to heat. Often, more lightweight and cosmetically seamless.

Both are effective. But not every skin type responds the same way.

If your SPF is causing breakouts, irritation, or you’re skipping it altogether because of how it feels, you’re using the wrong formula.
