❤️ Could your heart rhythm be causing your symptoms?
Some irregular heart rhythms come and go, which means they may not appear during a brief office EKG. A Holter monitor is a small wearable device that continuously records your heart’s electrical activity while you follow your normal daily routine.
Your healthcare provider may recommend monitoring if you experience:
• A racing, pounding, fluttering or skipped heartbeat
• Dizziness or lightheadedness
• Fainting or near-fainting
• Unexplained weakness or fatigue
• Shortness of breath
• Symptoms that may be related to an abnormal heart rhythm
The information collected can help your healthcare provider connect your symptoms with changes in your heart rhythm and determine the appropriate next steps.
Contact SARC Cardiovascular and Vein Center to ask whether a Holter monitor may be right for you.
🚨 Chest pain or pressure, severe shortness of breath or fainting may require emergency care. Call 911.
