Today, Autism FIRST celebrates the mothers, caregivers, and parental figures who show up each day with strength, compassion, patience, and love.

We recognize and appreciate the many different caregiving journeys represented within our community, including the incredible parents of the children we serve and the dedicated members of our own team balancing both professional and family roles.

Thank you for the advocacy, encouragement, and care you provide every day. Your impact reaches far beyond what words can express.

Wishing a meaningful and supportive Mother’s Day to all who nurture, guide, and care for others.

Strong Partnerships Create Stronger Support

At Autism FIRST, collaboration and community partnerships are at the heart of everything we do.

We recently had the opportunity to spend time with Meghann Bowyer, Director of Pediatrics at Johnson Health Center in Lynchburg, VA, along with her incredible team.

Pictured from left to right: Meghann Bowyer, a Johnson Health Center team member, and Randy Wilson, Director of Business Development at Autism FIRST.

What stood out most was hearing a team of more than 50 professionals share such positive feedback about their collaboration with our Lynchburg Autism FIRST team. That level of trust, communication, and alignment speaks volumes.

Partnerships like this are built through consistency, collaboration, and a shared commitment to supporting children and families with high-quality care.

We are grateful for our relationship with Johnson Health Center and look forward to continuing to grow together in support of the Lynchburg community.

On behalf of Autism FIRST, Jenny Argueta, Brandi Harris, and Randy Wilson had the opportunity to attend this year’s VABA Virginia Association for Behavior Analysis Annual Conference.

Events like this matter.

They bring together analysts, clinicians, educators, providers, and community partners who share a common goal: improving access, awareness, and quality of care for individuals with autism.

Throughout the conference, our team had the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations, strengthen existing relationships, and build new connections with professionals equally committed to advancing ABA services and supporting the ASD community.

We networked. We collaborated. We strategized.

Most importantly, we aligned around what it takes to continue expanding services, increasing visibility, and creating real opportunities for families to access the support they need.

As a conference sponsor, Autism FIRST is proud to support spaces that drive innovation, partnership, and progress across Virginia.

This is how impact is created: through shared vision, strong relationships, and intentional collaboration.

Autism FIRST’s Director of Business Development, Randy W., recently visited We Rock the Spectrum Kid’s Gym Loudoun, and it is easy to see why families are so excited about this space.

More than a gym, it is an environment intentionally designed for children of all abilities, especially those with sensory needs, to play, regulate, and connect in a way that feels natural and supportive.

Spaces like this create meaningful opportunities beyond therapy. They help children build confidence, engage with their community, and practice skills in everyday environments.

At Autism FIRST, we value community partnerships that expand access, support families, and meet children where they are.

A special thank you to Beatriz and Elaine for the warm welcome and for the passion they bring to this important work.
