The program is taught based on the Amgen Core Curriculum for Dialysis Technicians Edition 5 and based on the policies and procedures mandated by State and Federal regulations. All students are trained with hands-on to gain ex
perience on the use of Hemodialysis machines 2008k and 2008H prior to clinical practice. Our classrooms offer a simulation of clinical setting to provide the student a realistic feel for treating a patient on hemodialysis. In addition, preparation for training of cannulation is done with artificial arms that have grafts and fistulas to simulate an actual cannulation practice. The program is highly recommended for anyone who is passionate about the medical field and who enjoys providing care for others. The course also provides the skills necessary for Licensed Vocational and Registered Nurses interested in nephrology specialty, including medical staff that is currently working In Hemodialysis in passing the Hemodialysis National Exam.
