Cover-ups are a partnership—and realistic expectations make all the difference. 🤎

This client came to me with previous permanent makeup that had healed with two very different shapes. One brow sat noticeably higher with a stronger curve, while the other peaked sharply through the middle, creating a more angular appearance.

One of the biggest misconceptions about cover-ups is that I can completely erase or redesign existing tattoo work in a single appointment. The reality is that I'm always working with what's already there.

My goal isn't to make the brows darker or thicker just to hide previous work. In fact, I won't sacrifice a natural result for the sake of camouflage.

Instead, we focused on what could be improved:

This beautiful client has a Fitzpatrick IV skin tone and specifically asked for brows that would stay soft, subtle, and natural. She didn't want bold or overly dark brows, and she definitely didn't want people to notice her permanent makeup before they noticed her.

To achieve that, we selected a dark brown pigment but used a diluted application rather than packing the color in. The pigment choice provides enough richness to heal beautifully in melanated skin, while the lighter implantation keeps the final result soft and effortless.
