CVHS has announced the opening of a new medical practice in Lenoir. Named Catawba Valley Primary Care–Lenoir, the practice is located at 125 Hospital Avenue NW, Suite 200 in Lenoir.
Featuring two physicians – Maritess Asumen, DO, and Michael Jaje, DO – the new practice manages adult wellness and immunizations, acute and chronic illnesses, treats acute injuries, performs minor office surgeries and, when necessary, refers patients to an appropriate specialist. The practice sits adjacent to Catawba Valley Vascular Surgery–Horizon, which CVHS acquired in September 2024.
“Primary care is a great need for the people of our region,” said Dennis Johnson, president and CEO of CVHS. “Creating new accesses to care is a key piece of our mission to grow services and be a greater support system to people in surrounding counties. This addition reflects our commitment to expanding access to high-quality, care for the communities we serve.”
