828 Customs NC has, unfortunately, permanently closed it's doors. The abrupt decision was made by the owner this past Monday and we, the artists, are very apologetic for the inconvenience. For anybody who made prior appointments this week or next with any of our artists, please message them directly via their Instagrams; for tattoo artist Bailey VanCura, explicit.darling, for piercing artist Alexandra (Lex) Foster, foster_me92, and for tattoo artist apprentice Megan (Meg) Brittain, meg_tattoos828. Please follow each artist on Instagram as well for any updates on their future places of work and availability. We are deeply saddened by this occurrence and thank all of our clients and community for the unending support and encouragement, and we can only say that it has been a pleasure serving the tattoo and piercing community of Hickory for the past 3 and a half years. Thank you all so much and we hope to be able to see you again soon.

Piercing PSA:

Hello all! Recently we, as a shop, had announced our move away from implant steel to implant grade titanium pieces for all piercings. This decision was made to ensure the best possible experience for each and every client’s health and safety. In the future, we hope to incorporate even more body-safe materials such as gold and niobium when finances allow for it. At this time, however, slow season has hit us hard in regards to piercing, and we have been unable to restock some of our regular items. With that being said, our piercings will be moving to appointment only for receiving piercing services, as well as consultations. This decision has not been made lightly, but the constraints right now are very real, and it has put a large burden onto our staff who simply cannot meet their own personal, financial needs at this time without assistance from a secondary job to support them. However, the industry’s busy season is right around the corner, and we hope to shift back to walk-in availabilities as soon as we can. In the meantime, if you, or someone you know, would like to make an appointment for a piercing or consultation, or if you have any other questions regarding piercings or our move to appointments only, please feel free to message our shop page, or our main piercer, Alexandra Foster on Facebook, or on her Instagram, foster_me92, and we will be more than happy to assist you.
