We missed you last Monday — mostly because we've been somewhere between “OMG WE'RE GETTING SO CLOSE!” and “OMG THERE IS STILL SO MUCH TO DO!" 🔨

Thankfully, Pink Pixie is officially looking a little more like a tattoo & piercing studio every day… and that means it's time to start talking about one of the BIGGEST parts of what's coming next:

As renovations continue, we're working out the details for artist spaces, including both booth-rental and commission-based opportunities. We aren't ready to post the final numbers just yet because we want to see exactly how each space comes together before promising something on paper.

What we can tell you is what we're building... 💓

🧚‍♀️ PINK PIXIE RENOVATION — WEEK 3! 🔨 uploaded a bit late but Week 4 is coming right after!

WE HAVE WALLS!!! Well… the beginnings of walls 😂💗

Buttttt we quickly discovered that our original $500 plumbing budget was… extremely optimistic 💀

BUT LOOK AT THOSE ROOMS STARTING TO TAKE SHAPE!! 😭💗

Onto finishing these walls for Week 4 so we can start on giving away our personal fortune for plumbing work next...

We've recently announced Pink Pixie's development to some of our surrounding community groups & the response has been AMAZING 💗 So this week, we thought we'd tell you a little more about what we're actually creating behind those renovation walls… 🔨

We are NOT aiming to open just another tattoo & piercing shop ✋️❌️ We're working towards creating a safe space that is the utmost comfortable & hygienic for clientele from all walks of life, welcoming & opposite of the standard rough-edge tattoo shop environment — We want it to feel magical, safe, unlike any other place around — while still being built around professional sterile practices and quality services ✨

Our plans include:

🎀 Professional body piercing utilizing high-quality grade equipment
🎨 Tattoo services with local artists & guest artists
🧚‍♀️ Comfortable & private service areas
✨ A studio designed with regulated operating standards, continuous training, ongoing skill development, cleanliness & sterile practices involving all working employees
🌈 A welcoming environment for all kinds of beings
🩷 Events, collaborations, specials & a POP💥 of pink everywhere

& we're still just getting started! We are currently renovating our new location and there are a LOT of things happening behind the scenes before those doors can officially open 🚧 We're also getting closer to sharing opportunities for for local & guest tattoo artists interested in being part of what we're creating 🎨

Sometimes I have to remind myself that Pink Pixie started as an idea, a dream… and now I'm literally watching it flourish as our own studio gets built here in Catawba County, NC!
🥹🧚‍♀️💗

There have been countless appointments, pop-up & private events, late nights, paperwork, permits, setbacks, renovations, a LOT of $$$ and learning as I go… and probably an unreasonable amount of pink 😂🎀 jk there's never enough pink :3

And we're still only at the beginning - I'm so excited for the day I can finally unlock the doors and say:

Your piercings & body jewelry should fit YOUR anatomy — not the other way around 💗

Not every piercing works for every ear or body & that's completely normal! Sometimes that means adjusting the placement. Sometimes it means choosing different jewelry... & sometimes it means saying, "I wouldn't pierce this"

Things like the shape of your anatomy, available appropriate tissue, previous scarring, jewelry size and even your lifestyle can affect whether a certain piercing is a good choice for Y.O.U. ♡

That's why I will always look at your anatomy first and be 100% honest with you about what I think will heal safely and look beautiful ✨

A cute piercing is great, but a cute piercing that has been thoughtfully placed and has the best chance of healing? Even better! 💕
