Comfrey aka Knitbone

Comfrey is also known as Knitbone because of its amazing ability to heal broken bones and “knit” them back together. The botanical name, Symphytum, means “to unite.”

Comfrey roots and leaves contain allantoin, a substance that helps to grow new skin cells. Comfrey also helps reduce inflammation and keep skin healthy and supple. It has been used to heal bruises, pulled muscles, ligaments, fractures, strains and sprains.

This has been one of my daily miracle herbs that I've been applying topically since my accident. It's instantly cooling and soothing as soon as it touches the skin.

Dandelion for
Spring Cleaning

Most people see this as a pesky w**d and use chemicals to keep their yard "pretty." However, those chemicals are highly toxic and cause many health and environmental issues. Dandelion is one of the top herbs to help eliminate toxins from our bodies. Perhaps this is why it is so prolific 🤔 We are exposed to an estimated 700,000+ different toxic chemicals on a daily basis, and that does not include any food we eat. We also absorb these chemicals from our water, the air we breathe, the clothing we wear, upholstery and carpet, and all the plastics that surround us. Instead of killing this plant with chemicals, maybe we should be harvesting it and thanking it for its many healing benefits.

Dandelion has been shown to help the liver and gallbladder filter out toxins and purify the blood, as well as stimulate the kidneys to eliminate toxins. It reduces inflammation and muscle spasms, and can be used as a mild laxative for eliminating toxic build up. Dandelion has also been used to treat acne, age spots, anemia, eczema, frequent urination, heartburn, psoriasis, rheumatism, urinary disorders, water retention, chronic joint complaints, including gout and osteoarthritis, and edema resulting from high blood pressure and heart weakness.
