Together, we will determine what works best for you as we progress. It is crucial to remember that enjoying life, food, and exercise is permissible even before achieving one's ultimate goal. I have developed a method called L-O-V-E, which serves as a reminder to treat yourself kindly on your journey. When's the last time you explored where your health choices are taking you & gave yourself the space & time to dive and explore the answer for yourself?

So many of my clients come to me on a journey that they have been trenching through for a long time. They are trying to accept the process, but are SOOOO tired of not getting to where they want to be. 💓
They think they need someone to tell them the right path, or that they need to try harder.

But, that's not it. They've been trying hard their whole life.

If you want to feel better in your body & show up even brighter in your life. Then, you need to know EXACTLY where you are going!

You can enjoy exercise and it still be effective.
Many of the women I work with come to me curious about joyful movement, and how they can start moving in a way that doesn't hurt, feel like punishment, or that they dread.
We often find that what exercise they thought they looked was really only a means to an end.
They wanted the outcomes promised and liked the people, but not the exercise itself. .
When digging deeper they find that the reality was that the experience was very uncomfortable. There wasn't joy in the process. .
So how do you find movement that's enjoyable. .
Here are a few places to start experimenting:
1. Unplug. No step, calorie, mile, minute, rep, set counts. Your body will tell you when it's enough.
2. Be here and now. Do it to meet your needs now & not for the unknown future. Ex: Burpees for future figure vs.phyically playing with your kids for enjoyment now.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3. Let go of outcomes. If the reason your doing it is for the expectation of what it will bring instead of a fulfilling form of self care, you'll have a hard time maintaining it... especially when what you expected doesn't happen. ex: weight loss.

It's crazy how one title can mean so many different things. .
I've had the title of coach for 20 years now. .
My first gig was as an assistant at a gymnastics camp when I was 16.
I've been lucky to have had big opportunities from the best of the best to develop my skills as both a performance coach and health and wellness coach. .
In performance coaching it's very scientific and strategic. There's a lot planning and as a coach you have to take charge, lead loud, and deliver benchmark outcomes for performance enhancement. .
Health and wellness coaching is a completely different profession. We can't coach health like an athletic sport because wellness, self-efficacy, and autonomy are compromised. .
All important things needed to SUSTAIN healthy habits.
Health and wellness coaching is about listening, not telling. It's collaborative, there is no right or wrong, & the client's needs, wants, preferences, purpose and values for THEIR life vision is the road map for success.
The coach ISN'T the expert. The client is.... Because, it's YOUR life!
There are a few common threads in performance coaching and health and wellness coaching, but the one that stands out the most for me is the importance of the coaching agreement and relationship. .
Good coaching shouldn't feel like punishment or leave you with feelings of guilt or shame.
If your past experiences with coaches have felt like you were on the losing team of a sport you're not very good at, then please know that it wasn't you. .
Your coach likely didn't receive training in how to support your health journey as YOUR life instead of a competitive sport.
Remember, a "coach" can mean many things. Instead of focusing on the outcome they promise, explore what makes you feel the most supported and then interview a few coaches to see who would be the best fit for you. .
I love it when a new client interviews me because it shows me they are invested in their health, their journey and overall well-being. .

Laugh for no reason!

When you arn't living the life you want, have pain, or are struggling to reach your goals it can feel hard to laugh. When it feels like the world has been laughing AT you it's NOT funny!

So, how can you create more sunshine moments in your life if life doesn't feel like much fun right now?

Joy can be triggered by the simplest of physical activities, such as:
🎤Singing
💃Dancing
🤹Playing 😂Laughing
These are the 4 elements of Joy which is found when we stop searching for happiness from external sources and begin cultivating it from within. 😃
External happiness is conditional and not guaranteed. It is dependant upon you getting what you want. 😊
Joy is what you carry within you even through life's toughest moments.

We were born practicing these 4 elements, but as we grew up, joy got filtered by self-consciousness and fear of judgement. ☀️
You can create more sunshine in your life by practicing giving yourself permission to have more child-like moments and welcome the 4 elements of joy into your life on a regular basis. Let yourself go all-in and allow yourself to truely LOL.
