I've started filling my pantry, and this is only the beginning! Soon my garden will be overflowing with fresh fruits, and my evenings will stretch late into the night as I cook, stir, and seal delicious homemade goodness into jars. 🌙❤️

😁I got some roe deer meat from my friend - and what did I make? Pierogi, of course! 🥟🌿

These little beauties turned out absolutely incredible! With carrot and celery root on the side, sautéed with butter. But the real magic? The perfect blend of spices that brings out the deep, wild flavor of the venison. ✨

🌿🐣 Polish Easter Traditions 🇵🇱✨

🐥Easter in Poland is a beautiful blend of faith, family, and vibrant springtime customs. The season begins with Palm Sunday (Niedziela Palmowa) 🌾—instead of traditional palm leaves, Poles craft colorful palmy (palms) from dried flowers, grasses, and crepe paper crafts. These handmade creations are blessed in church and symbolize life, renewal, and protection.

Today, I had the joy of making palm branches myself—for me and my family—for tomorrow’s Palm Sunday 💛 It’s such a special way to connect with tradition and bring a bit of spring into our home.

🧺One of the most cherished traditions is the preparation of Święconka—a basket filled with symbolic foods like eggs (new life), bread (Jesus), sausage (abundance), and salt (purity), all blessed on Holy Saturday.

🥚Another beloved custom is Pisanki—intricately decorated eggs, each design carrying meaning and passed down through generations. And of course, Easter Sunday begins with a festive family breakfast, often featuring żurek soup, white sausage, and sweet babka cake.

Then comes the fun—Śmigus-Dyngus (Wet Monday) 💦—a joyful tradition where people splash each other with water, symbolizing renewal and the arrival of spring.
