Last week of Mental Health Awareness Month!

๐Ÿ’› Many of us are far harsher with ourselves than we would ever be with someone we care about. The way we speak to ourselves matters. Practicing self-compassion ๐Ÿซถ means meeting our own struggles with the same kindness and understanding we would offer someone we care about - and that shift can make a meaningful difference in our mental health.

When we pair that with gratitude, even in small, everyday moments, we begin to gently redirect our focus from whatโ€™s lacking to whatโ€™s present and sustaining us. Together, self-compassion and gratitude create space for both honesty and hope - allowing us to grow without harsh judgment and to find steadiness, even in difficult seasons.

Try some self-compassionate phrases today:
๐Ÿ’ช I am strong and can get through this tough spot.
๐Ÿค— No wonder this is hard. Anyone would be struggling with this situation. I can still care for myself.

Move 4 Life w Claire ... Wednesdays, 5:45-6:45pm

Move 4 Life is a mindful movement class for all walks of life! Each session is unique, fun, and educational. The class philosophy is built from what Claire identifies as 'the four pillars of movement':

1. Breath
2. Focus
3. Joint movement
4. Muscle engagement

Each class is a learning journey, teaching you how to better understand movement and connect with your body. The goal of this space is to gently help you enhance your vitality by supporting your ability to move. Benefits of this practice include increased range of motion, increased joint + muscle strength, reduction of chronic stiffness, and an increase in balance and mindfulness.

This week, in support of Mental Health Awareness month, we highlight how writing can support mental health! ๐Ÿ“๐Ÿ–‹

Putting thoughts and feelings into words - whether by talking them through or writing them down - can be a powerful step toward better mental health. Naming whatโ€™s going on inside helps create clarity, release built-up tension, and make emotions feel more manageable. It can turn something overwhelming into something we can begin to understand and work through. Whether itโ€™s a conversation with someone you trust or a few honest lines on a page, expression creates space for insight, connection, and healing.
