Rain didn't stop our team from showing up to support the Alzheimer's Association New Jersey Chapter at the Walk to End Alzheimer's, Cooper River. Led by Tom Cassidy, several members of our BAYADA community came together to walk alongside families, caregivers, and loved ones impacted by Alzheimer's. As presenting sponsor this year, BAYADA is proud to stand behind this cause both on Walk day and every day in the homes we serve.

Valerie Clack, BCBA, LBA, an Oglala Sioux Tribe member with nearly 20 years in behavior analysis, represented our BAYADA Behavioral Health Hawaii team as a panelist at this year's Hawai'i Association for Behavior Analysis (HABA) conference.

Valerie joined fellow Indigenous practitioners, Kānaka ʻŌiwi, and Filipina, to explore what culturally grounded, community-centered behavior analysis can look like when it's rooted in honor, reciprocity, and relationship.

At BAYADA, we're proud to support professionals like Valerie who bring their full selves, culture, lived experience, and expertise, into the work. Thank you Valerie and the panel for advancing a more inclusive future for our field. ❤️

Hearts for Home Care recently hosted its Ambassador of the Year Awards in Washington, D.C., bringing together advocates and BAYADA leaders, including CEO Bryony Winn, to celebrate those who go above and beyond to make their voices heard.

Our ambassadors advocate every day for the clients, clinicians, and caregivers who depend on us, helping ensure more people can access the care and independence that home offers.

The Phillies kick off their postseason run today, and we're already in the mood. ⚾

Last Friday night, hundreds of BAYADA employees packed Citizens Bank Park for a Philadelphia Phillies game and a great cause. Our CEO, Bryony Winn, threw out the first pitch alongside longtime Philly meteorologist Cecily Tynan. Two days later, the Phillies clinched their playoff spot. Just saying. 😉

The night was co-sponsored by the Alzheimer's Association to raise awareness for Alzheimer's disease, a condition many of the families BAYADA cares for are living with. A special shout out to Tom Cassidy, who has volunteered with the Alzheimer's Association Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter for 16 years, including serving as a board chair and member. His leadership and dedication is inspiring to all of us. 💜

This week we celebrate the International Week of Deaf People, and we're proud to share Courtney's story. Courtney has been with BAYADA since 2010, and today serves as Habilitation Specialty Practice Manager and secretary of the ABLE employee resource council, where she helps build community and awareness for others navigating disability at BAYADA.

Born profoundly deaf, Courtney hears with the aid of a cochlear implant and communicates through spoken and cued language. "BAYADA has always gone above and beyond for me, accommodating me whenever I have accessibility and technology requests," she shares. Closed captioning now makes every call and meeting easy for her to follow.

🎳 Strikes, spares, and great company!

Our Big Island Visits team recently enjoyed a fun-filled evening of bowling with clinicians and their families. Events like these give us an opportunity to step away from our busy schedules, connect outside of work, and celebrate the amazing people who make our team so special.

At BAYADA, we believe caring for our employees is just as important as caring for our clients. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make it a memorable night filled with laughter, friendly competition, and family fun!

Happy Nurses week! I leave you with our LPN hero of the year!

Join us in congratulating licensed practical nurse Chalie Beatty on being named BAYADA’s 2026 LPN National Hero of the Year! 👏

Over the years, Chalie has cared for more than 25 clients with complex needs, from diagnoses such as ALS and spinal cord injuries to cerebral palsy and quadriplegia. He is the one everyone calls when there is a scheduling bind. His reliability shines through the way he steps in during emergencies, as described by his client services manager, Courtney.

Beyond the office team members, Chalie’s dedication to his clients is deeply appreciated by the families he serves. One parent shared that Chalie is “caring, respectful, and sensitive” to both their son and their family. Chalie’s commitment to showing up for his office team, his clients, and their families is a true testament to the honor of this award.

Big congratulations to our amazing nurse, Lisa Gee, for being selected for the Lifesaver Award! 🏆❤️
We received an incredible story from Lisa. She arrived at a care home (not one of our regular clients) and was immediately approached by staff and family running toward her in a panic. A female resident was choking and may have become unresponsive.
Lisa quickly asked if the resident was full code—yes, they confirmed—and without hesitation, she performed the Heimlich maneuver. Her calm, decisive actions dislodged the obstruction and helped revive the resident. A life was saved because of her quick thinking and skill!
She called the office afterward to check if there was anything else she needed to do—classic Lisa, always thinking of protocol even after being a hero. We praised her right away and asked her to send the full details so we could properly recognize this act of bravery.
We’re recommending her for this well-deserved Lifesaver Award recognition. Lisa’s calm and reassuring demeanor shines every day in her work (as shown by her recent "Gentle Art of Home Healthcare" award too! 🕊️), but this moment proves why she’s truly exceptional. She doesn’t just care for patients—she saves lives.
To celebrate her heroism and all the incredible work our team does, we gathered for a special meeting with catered food—sharing laughs, stories, and a delicious spread while some team members joined via Zoom. Nothing beats coming together like this to honor our heroes! 🍲🎉
Thank you, Lisa, for being our hero. We’re so proud to have you on the team and can’t wait to celebrate this properly!

This year, instead of our usual holiday dinner, the Big Island (BIV) Home Health team chose to give back through two incredible toy drives.

In Hilo, they supported the Salvation Army Angel Tree, providing gifts for 15 children in the community!

On the Kona side, they donated toys to a domestic abuse shelter, receiving a heartfelt mahalo from the West Hawaii Director of Child and Family Services:

"The volume and thoughtfulness of the gifts truly took our breath away… From scooters and LEGO sets to jewelry-making kits and so much more, the care behind each item was deeply felt. Now our moms can go 'shopping' 😊"

We are so proud of our BIV team for sharing their generosity and heart, making the holidays brighter for families across the Big Island. 💛
