TEA Thread

I’m drinking mullein not because something is wrong because winter is drying and It’s giving MOISTURE!

Lucky for us Mullein grows in extreme cold conditions for a reason! I believe the LAND and the LAND shows you what you need!

I thought about a change what that would look like? Then I said the change is already here and it has nothing to do with the name. Truth be told the name chose me. Physically I may not have known what I was doing at the time but spiritually my soul did when I named my business Four Seasons Apothecary.

I had a reason behind it but it came to a point where I had to actually live it. We are in the deep Solstice of Winter and it’s a time where I’ve taken the last two years to just be. I move and live just as the seasons, I eat with the seasons, my herbs are based on the seasons and I flow in rhythm with the seasons. It’s been a beautiful mess but I embraced it. I’m still here I just show up in a different capacity that honors whatever season I’m in and I’m cool on that.

Things are different, I’m different and I like it. My work with plants has gone to another level that I can’t put into words on this post. I asked for depth and it flooded in. A lot of time has been spent writing it’s been the gateway for me. Writing takes me to a place somewhere that is far away from here that’s heaven to me.

This is a big piece of FAT! (Fat back to be exact)

The etymology of the word FAT was rich, abundant, fertile etc. The purpose of FAT can be tricky but it’s there for a reason. I won’t keep ya long but hear me good your body stores things in FAT! Memories (good & bad), emotions a whole lot of stuff.

It stores these things as a protection mechanism until you’re ready you release them (WEIGHT).

People have no idea what is stored in their tissues and FAT and that’s why weight loss is nuanced. This is why women specifically start and stop during weight loss routines a release before the body is ready!

One of the best things I’ve ever done is to study myself!

Women are not small men and I’ve been on the other side of the hustle and I made myself sick. My cortisol levels were so high I wonder how I didn’t have an autoimmune disease.

I did all the things and It’s taken me almost four years to build my storages back up and I did it through pregnancies and postpartum. I am telling you from experience if you don’t take care of yourself it will not end well. Wellness looks different for everyone even me as a wife and a mom. When I made a choice to do better the right people showed up and it changed my life so I can be who I need to be for me and my family!

All a woman has to do is surrender and make a choice and everything will fall into place. No it won’t be quick it’s going to take time sometimes a LONG TIME.

I still have things to do cause shoot we got Four kids but I’m cool on all that other stuff I got my AUNTIE ACTIVITIES that bring me joy and a community of really DOPE ass women who constantly EMPOWER me and pour WISDOM into me.

Your body holds onto weight for a very good reason and more often than not it less to do with the food you consume.

Statistically women’s bodies will have a harder time releasing weight if they are not SAFE. Most women are detached from their body and they don’t understand the language it communicates to them. We see our bodies as this separate entity when everything is connected. Your body is the PORTAL and until you learn to connect with your body you will always loose and gain back or have issues loosing.

Most women are carrying many things that dont belong to them internally whether they have the language for it or not.

This is SCIENCE.

Most of the time the messages your body is sending you are related to seasonal shifts and changes. For as long as I can remember I always said everyone gets a lil crazy when spring comes, in actuality it’s built up energy screaming to be released and liver stagnation. That’s right guess what emotion stems from the liver ANGER & RAGE.

No need to panic your body is just asking for support whether that’s through food or Herbs the choice is yours. After years of living seasonally I can tell you from experience we are not apart from nature. If you pay attention as the seasons shift your body does the exact thing that nature does. There’s a time to rest, a time to Bloom, a time to be outside it all comes in waves and seasons.
