It needs to be spoken now:
Among other things, so many other things, this is Soul Work.
It should be enough to say that ScarWork is light years ahead of its time. (As the intuitive Romy Wyser once said to me, "it's almost like this is an entirely new healing modality, like a star has been named, or a new planet has been found".)
It should be enough to say that this work will help countless individuals and make enormous contributions to science and research in a multitude of cutting-edge ways, not to mention it is paving the way for a complete and radical shift around the effectiveness of light touch in a world where "no pain, no gain" is still the dominant paradigm.
It should be enough. And it is, because it's more than enough as it is.
It's just that, this isn't all that it is...
Teaching ScarWork continues to blow my mind. I witness how the work repeatedly creates cracks in the collective in all sorts of ways, letting the light in, weaving us back, one by one, group by group - clients, students, practitioners - through the threads of our own broken existence, once again back into wholeness.
This work, by its own nature, which includes *the style and WAY Sharon Wheeler teaches* heals the damages done by our educational systems and gives absolute permission for women to be "Witches" (and men to be "Wizards") again.
I started to recognize this more clearly in the last few years, as more and more started to come out of the woodwork, out of the depths, out of hiding, out from shame and fear and self-condemnation. And now that I look back, I see it was there all along:
This work gently summons the genius, on-the-fringe, outside-the-box, nearly self-abandoned and self-protected individuals back from the marginalized, outcasted, glass ceiling regions... back to themselves again...
..and into the collective whole.
Our world so desperately needs this - everything about this - right now.
