Happy New Year!🎉
I have spent this past year reflecting on my life through writing my memoir. Now almost at its completion, I realize how the search of beauty and perfume particularly, has been delicately intertwined in my life.
I’m so grateful to have had so many incredible experiences traipsing across the world while following a trail of scent💕

I am anxiously anticipating writing my new life chapter and starting a new decade in 2023🪷

SOTD Geisha Blanche❤️
It’s over 60° in NYC, almost feels like spring. Geisha Blanche’s fresh bouquet of white flowers with a dash of piquant lychee makes for the perfect potion on this last weekend before Christmas🎄

Perfume Hunting in Marrakech💙 One of my favorite parts of traveling is discovering hidden treasures.
I was actually trying to find the perfume shop in this neighborhood I went to pre Pandemic, but after much retracing of my foot steps it was not to be found. But….I felt myself drawn to this tiny apothecary and when I stepped in I found myself in a world of Olfaction treasures.
The lovey gentleman tuned out to be an incredible alchemist. He had created all kinds of potions for skin and hair and beyond. I spotted some large glass bottles behind the counter, the holy grail of Arabian oils?
With the help of my intrepid bother and fellow scent lover, he acted as translator as my French is terrible.
I sniffed and swooned as each heavy bottle with graceful Arabic writing was brought down for me to smell. I pointed to the bottles that held dark, deep liquor. Smelling with my mask down, the sound of buzzing motorcycles outside on the dusty street, I carefully selected the extraordinary oils that I had already imagined in a new perfume.

Camellia Eau de Parfum is back ! Our all-natural and organic beauty has won awards and delighted noses since 2014🌸

The ingredients here are a floral bouquet- jasmine, gardenia, neroli, geranium, rose - given a contemporary twist with the addition of frankincense. And at the heart its namesake, fragrant camellia essential oil.

The square-cornered rectangular bottle recalls the no-frills Modernist flacon favored by Coco Chanel (whose signature flower was the camellia along with the Geisha's). The label, framed in Yuzen paper, is an Aroma M signature touch.

Relaxing riverside with chef hubby and ❤️ dipping our toes into the cool clear water was just what I needed after the New York heatwave…. Do we really have to go home?

What a glorious weekend it was in New York City! Really feels like a celebration as the city turns the curve with COVID-19. I’m so proud of New York and that we made it through the last challenging year and a half. I feel like we have come through to be more resilient. I do love this city and I am loving even more traveling along the east river waterways near my apartment. It’s the best way to commute!
