to March 22, 2026, when the Suffolk County Black Nurses Association was deeply honored with multiple recognitions for our advocacy, leadership, and commitment to health equity.
From community service to mentorship, from elevating Black nurses to advancing culturally competent care — these awards reflect the heart of our mission and the power of collective purpose.
We remain grateful to the Mothers Club of Wheatley Heights, the Suffolk County Legislature, the New York State Assembly, and the New York State Senate for acknowledging our work and impact.
We continue to lead. We continue to serve. We continue to uplift.

4/11/26 SCBNA had the pleasure of attending the Suffolk county community college’s Annual Gospel Health Fest. Guests enjoyed music and entertainment. We educated guests on healthy, living, cardiac health and obesity. We measured BMI’s blood pressures today. We even met a new friend, Pablo Alvarez, community outreach, specialist, from Northwell Peconic Bay, Medical Center.
