Ten years ago, I took the photo on the left through tears.
I remember sitting with my mom, feeling completely defeated by my skin. My acne was at its worst and years of skin picking had left behind dark scars that felt impossible to ignore. I was frustrated, embarrassed, and desperately wanted to know how to make my skin better.
What I didn’t know then was that those struggles would ultimately shape the course of my life.
My journey with skincare didn’t begin because I wanted a career in beauty. it began because I was searching for answers for myself. Somewhere along the way, I found myself saying, “I just want to help other people take care of their skin.” Not long after, I enrolled in esthetics school, and everything changed.
Ironically, my skin was at its worst while I was in school. But I had an incredible mentor who taught me that healthy skin isn’t about chasing perfection. It’s about understanding what your skin needs and supporting it consistently. I started with just a couple of products from Elina Organics Skin Care , trusted the process, and slowly watched my skin transform.
The acne improved first. The scarring took longer. But little by little, my skin healed.
That experience is why I will always stand behind Elina Organics and why it remains the only skincare line I carry in my treatment room. These products didn’t just help transform my skin, they became the foundation of Rivers Beauty Esthetics. For the last 10 years, I’ve dedicated my education, training, and client work to understanding these formulations and how to customize them for individual skin concerns.
