Diamond Diagnostics was founded in 1996 as a privately held Corporation supplying a limited range of remanufactured clinical laboratory instrumentation. Over the next several years, Diamond expanded its instrumentation line to 200 makes and models of instrumentation within the clinical laboratory segments including Critical Care, Clinical Chemistry and Hemostasis. Diamond registered with the US Fo
od and Drug Administration in 2001. Later that year, Diamond ventured into the development, manufacture and marketing of alternative consumables utilized on several respected manufacturers' Blood Gas and Electrolyte analyzers. The product line now includes over 500 consumables including Reagents, Quality Controls, Electrodes and several other Hardware items. Most products are regulated by and have received regulatory clearance by the United States FDA. All of Diamond products are also CE approved for circulation within the European Union. Diamond currently markets its products to several hundred distributors and thousands of laboratories in over 100 countries worldwide. After achieving ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 13485:2003 certification in 2005, Diamond proudly released its first newly produced analyzer in 2007 and continued its expansion of its product offerings in the years to follow. As of 2014, Diamond has placed nearly 20,000 instruments and supplied consumable products to over 10,000 medical facilities worldwide.
