I’m judging.. Yal still saying no new friends at this big age ⁉️

I’m glad I’m not one of those women who see other women as competitors. With all that I have going on; I need a couple Allies in my corner at all time. Today was just another example of how keeping a tribe of women around me that believes in connections and relationships as much as I do.

I was able to call my girl in a whole other time zone late in the evening and she came through for me for just in time for my 8:30am lecture the next day.

I didn’t have time to record a video demo and I didn’t have time to perform a live one because I was actually booked in the office today and needed to be in Sunrise & Boca within minutes of each other .

Generational trauma can look like gatekeeping important conversations from our daughters.

When it comes to menopause, many women were taught to survive it quietly instead of understanding it. To normalize the suffering. To push through exhaustion, brain fog, hormonal changes, anxiety, sleep disruption, and burnout without ever realizing they deserved support, education, and options.

But advocacy starts with conversations we’ve been taught not to have.

There is no honor in silently suffering through seasons that deserve awareness, support, and proper healthcare.

Take control of your health.
Ask questions.
Learn your body.
Advocate for yourself unapologetically.

There are moments you prepare for… and moments that prepare you.

This journey required more than I expected.
Discipline. Patience. Silence. Growth.

Not everything was meant to be explained.
And not everything meaningful was meant to be seen.

But what I gained…
sisterhood, legacy, alignment.
A deeper understanding of who I am, and a profound understanding of what I’m called to carry.

Becoming a woman of Delta Sigma Theta is not just a title.
Not just letters.
It’s responsibility. It’s refinement. It’s purpose.

I’m grateful for every lesson, every stretch, every moment that brought me here.

This moment started long before today, at 9 years old, watching my God Sister Tameika become a Delta woman.
I didn’t fully understand it then… but I knew that would be me one day. Talk about full circle .

Today, I am honored to now stand with my sisters in our illustrious sisterhood.

In the words of my mentor, my friend , and now my Soror:
A destiny delayed is not a destiny denied.

Our slogan for the day: Plan A: Abstinence, so tea. ☕️💕

Today’s Wellness Wednesday was powerful, honest, fun, and necessary. We created space for our teens to learn about hygiene, periods, STI prevention, pregnancy facts, healthy relationships, and body autonomy in a way that felt real, safe, empowering, and judgment-free.

And what made today so special was not just what was taught, but how these girls responded. They spoke up. They asked questions. They engaged. They shared. And that right there is the reminder that our babies need safe spaces where they feel seen, heard, respected, and comfortable enough to use their voices.

Too often young girls, especially young Black girls, are talked at instead of poured into. Today was about changing that. It was about giving them truth, tools, confidence, and the freedom to ask what they need without shame. Because when girls are given knowledge in a safe space, they move differently. They protect themselves differently. They begin to understand their worth differently.

A special thank you to West Park Preparatory Academy and Ms. McCoy for always being intentional about creating an environment where young Black girls can thrive, learn, and be supported. That kind of leadership and care matters more than people know.

The Pretty Girl Project is more than a workshop. It is a safe space. It is education. It is prevention. It is empowerment. And today was a beautiful reminder that when we show up for our girls, they rise.
