PCOS and endometriosis can look so similar on the surface; with symptoms like pelvic pain, bloating, fatigue, and cycle changes, but they are not the same condition.

That difference matters because it guides the kind of care and support your body actually needs, from hormonal or metabolic support to pain management and pelvic floor physical therapy.

If your symptoms feel confusing, clarity is the first step toward better care.

Send us a message if you need support. 💜

Better posture = better pressure control.

Your pelvic floor doesn’t work in isolation.

Posture, breathing, and core pressure all work together, and leaks can happen when this system isn’t working in sync.

Poor sleep doesn’t just affect energy.. it affects your pelvic floor too.

When your body doesn’t get enough rest, the nervous system stays on alert, which can show up as tension, pain, or bladder changes.

💤 Better Sleep Month is a reminder: recovery starts with rest 💜

😴 Better Sleep Month Reminder

Sleep might sound simple, but it’s something many of us don’t prioritize until we feel the effects of not getting enough.

Dr. Andrea ( .andrea_acuandwellness ) shares how she’s learned to take sleep seriously, especially as a mom of two young kids. Like many, she experienced years of interrupted, low-quality sleep, and only realized later how much it affected her clarity, energy, and overall well-being.

What’s powerful is how she also sees this in her patients, when the body feels safe, relaxed, and supported, many are able to rest more deeply, even during care.

A reminder that sleep isn’t just rest, it’s recovery, regulation, and healing. 😴💜

POSTPARTUM BASICS: Pelvic Floor Coordination

Bladder leaks, pelvic pressure, or heaviness postpartum? It often comes down to coordination, not just strength.

Many postpartum symptoms are linked to how the pelvic floor works with the diaphragm and abdominal muscles to manage pressure inside the body.

When this system is overactive, underactive, or not well-coordinated, issues like leaking, heaviness, or pressure can show up especially with movements like coughing, laughing, or lifting.

A simple starting point is learning how to coordinate breath with movement:
Inhale = relax
Exhale = gentle pelvic floor contraction (lift like holding in gas or urine)

It’s not just about squeezing! it’s about timing, coordination, and control between systems.

Recovery takes time. Start slow, listen to your body, and focus on connection over force.

POSTPARTUM BASICS: CORSET USE

Binders and supports can help support the abdominal wall, but pressure needs to be managed carefully.

After childbirth, the abdominal wall is recovering from overstretch, which affects how pressure is distributed through the core system: the diaphragm, abdominal muscles, and pelvic floor all work together.

Gentle external support can be helpful early postpartum, but too much compression may feel restrictive or disrupt natural pressure coordination.

The goal is support, not excessive pressure while the body relearns how to function as a coordinated system again.

Your bladder may not actually be “overactive” - it might just be responding to habits it learned over time. 👀

Frequent urgency, constant bathroom trips, or peeing “just in case” can sometimes train the bladder to send signals earlier than necessary. The good news? These habits can often be retrained with the right support. 💜
