🚑Touch a Truck 2026🚑

Today, some of our TECHS EMS Interfacility Transfer crew members spent the morning at the West Ridge Mall Touch a Truck event, connecting with families and sharing what we do every day to serve our communities.

Visitors had the opportunity to meet our crew, explore one of our state-of-the-art transfer ambulances, learn about EKG monitoring and cardiac care, and ask questions about EMS careers and patient transport services.

We were also excited to showcase our Secure Transport vehicle, which made its debut at the event!

We loved seeing all the smiling faces and curious minds throughout the day!

🚑☀️ Community Training in Action!☀️🚑

At TECHS EMS, we are proud to support the communities we serve through education, preparedness, and hands-on training.

This week, our crews at our 911 service-Nemaha County EMS, spent time with the Centralia Pool lifeguards providing valuable emergency response training. Lifeguards participated in realistic scenarios involving drowning emergencies and traumatic injuries, helping build confidence and preparedness for the upcoming pool season.

Participants also received hands-on instruction with an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and learned how early intervention can make a critical difference during an emergency.

We appreciate the dedication of the Centralia Pool lifeguards and the commitment of Nemaha County EMS to keeping their community safe. Training and collaboration like this help ensure that when emergencies happen, responders are ready to act.

Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice, courage, and dedication to protecting the freedoms we enjoy will never be forgotten.

At TECHS EMS, we are grateful for those who served and especially remember the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice. As we gather with family and friends this Memorial Day, we encourage everyone to take a moment to reflect on the true meaning of the day and honor the legacy of our fallen service members.

🚑🩸 STOP THE BLEED — SAVE A LIFE🩸🚑

TECHS EMS/ Jackson County EMS was proud to participate in Glory Days in Holton alongside our partners at Holton Community Hospital to provide hands-on Stop the Bleed education for our community!

From learning how to apply tourniquets to practicing bleeding control techniques, community members of all ages had the opportunity to gain simple skills that could make a life-saving difference in an emergency.

Severe bleeding can become life-threatening in minutes — but with quick action, bystanders can help save lives before first responders arrive.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, participated in demonstrations, and helped make this event a success. We love being part of a community that values preparedness, education, and helping others.

TECHS EMS is proud to congratulate Alex Bergstrom on receiving the Excellence in Emergency Medical Services Award during the Stormont Vail Excellence in EMS Award Celebration held on May 22.

Alex was recognized by his peers for his outstanding leadership, dedication to patient care, and commitment to training and mentoring fellow EMS professionals.
