π TEACHER SPOTLIGHT π : Ashley Hartman β¨ LCSW, PMH-C, RYT-200
WELCOME ASHLEY to the RL Team ! She is a somatic and attachment EMDR trauma therapist with over 15 years of clinical experience, founder of her therapy practice The Sacred Becoming, and a trauma-informed yoga teacher. Her personal healing journeyβreclaiming her body through yoga after a season of profound loss and disconnectionβis central to how she holds space on the mat and in the world π
As a complex PTSD survivor, Ashley understands viscerally what it means to fear your own nervous system, to armor against sensation, to protect yourself from feeling. Rising Lotus was the sanctuary where she found her body again. Now, she returns as a teacher to offer that same gift: a space where the body becomes safe, where sensation becomes resource, where you can begin to come home to yourself.
Ashleyβs Hatha classes weave trauma-informed cueing, attachment awareness, and somatic wisdom into every breath and pose. She teaches nervous system literacyβhelping students recognize their own states, trust their internal signals, and access the wisdom held in their bodies. Her classes are gentle invitations to befriend sensation, to reparent the inner child through safety and presence, and to discover that your body isnβt your enemyβitβs your medicine βΎοΈ
Currently pursuing advanced somatic training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (fall 2026), Ashley is deepening her integration of somatic work with yoga, bringing embodied healing practices that address pre-verbal and attachment trauma. She specializes in the mother wound, complex trauma, and the reclamation of the body as a safe home.
β¨ Her intention: to help students remember that they are worthy of safety, that their nervous system can learn to trust again, and that healing happens one breath, one sensation, one moment of presence at a time β¨
Ashley is a mom and loves to spend time with her kids, and friends. She enjoys being in nature, hiking, dancing, and has a regular yoga and spiritual practice β€οΈ
