👏 MVTP Spotlight: Paolo Dela Cruz 👏

Congratulations to Paolo Dela Cruz, our Q2 Most Valuable Team Player (MVTP) honoree representing Hawaiʻi Pacific Health's Shared Services corporate and administrative teams!

As a member of Hawaiʻi Pacific Health's IT team, Paolo's dedication, reliability, and unwavering support make a tremendous impact across our organization. From leading successful system transitions and troubleshooting technical issues to ensuring team members have the tools they need to support patient care, he consistently goes above and beyond.

Known for his patience, responsiveness, and open-door approach, Paolo is a trusted partner who helps keep operations running smoothly across Hawaiʻi Pacific Health.

As nominator Kristi Sakai shared, "One of the things I appreciate most about Paolo is how deeply he understands the role our department plays in patient care. He's my go-to whenever I get stuck running a report, and he always responds with patience and clarity. I'm sure he hears the same questions repeatedly, yet he never shows frustration, just steady support and kindness."

Mahalo, Paolo, for your outstanding commitment to our team members and the patients we serve. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition! 🎉

A common thread connects us: caring for our community. 💙

The 2026 Hawai‘i Pacific Health Employee Giving Campaign is underway! Throughout September, our employees are coming together through gifts, volunteer support, and campus activities to support the patients and families we serve.

This year’s theme, “A Common Thread: Coming Together for Care,” celebrates how each contribution becomes part of something bigger, supporting patient assistance funds, programs, and services across our medical centers and clinics. Together, our employees are helping strengthen the fabric of care for Hawai‘i's communities.

Mahalo to our employees for the many ways you give back and care for our patients and families when they need it most.

The Hawaiʻi Heart Walk is this Saturday, Aug. 15, and Hawaiʻi Pacific Health is proud to once again support this community event promoting heart health across our islands. ❤️

Leading up to the walk, the American Heart Association - Hawaii's Heart Walk Torch made its way across Hawaiʻi Pacific Health, bringing together teams from Kapiʻolani Medical Center for Women & Children, Pali Momi Medical Center, Straub Benioff Medical Center, and Wilcox Medical Center in support of healthier communities.

As a longtime partner of the American Heart Association, Hawaiʻi Pacific Health is helping recruit teams, raise critical funds, and provide free health screenings at this year's event. The screenings give participants an opportunity to learn more about their heart health and know their numbers.

There's still time to join us at the Hawaiʻi Heart Walk this Saturday, Aug. 15. We invite our patients, employees, and community members to walk with us, learn more about their heart health, and support healthier communities across Hawaiʻi. We hope to see you there!

🎪 Summer fun was in full swing for our Supply Chain Management team during their recent Summer Carnival celebration!

Working from our Nimitz warehouse, our Supply Chain Management team keeps supplies and resources moving to our medical centers, clinics, and facilities across HPH. Their Summer Carnival was a chance to take a break from the daily hustle and enjoy carnival games, delicious food, exciting prizes, and lots of laughter. It was a well-deserved opportunity for team members to connect and celebrate together.

Mahalo to this dedicated team for the vital work they do behind the scenes every day to support patient care and help keep HPH running smoothly. 💙
