In Tortolì we stumbled into a local festival and somehow ended up celebrating like locals — goat stew with Malloreddus, bottarga pasta, Culurgiones, seafood fregola, “longevity wine” Cannonau, Mirto… naturally we tried everything.

Then in Ulassai, the sweetest old Italian gentleman adopted us for an unofficial town tour. We understood maybe 1 out of every 10 words, but somehow still understood the vibe perfectly.
Wandered a little farther and casually discovered what felt like a hidden paradise for rock climbers tucked into the Sardinian mountains.

Cala Goloritzé — the reason Sardinia became our entire mood. Ranked #1 beach in the world (2025), and somehow even better in person.
With boats off duty that day, we took the scenic route on foot and clocked it faster than the usual 1.5–2 hours.
A challenging hike, slightly underprepared, mildly questioning life choices — and then that water appeared. Suddenly everything made sense.
