The Queen's Medical Center made history on Monday by discharging the first patient to receive an LVAD implant in Hawai'i. This milestone marks a new chapter for the Queen's Advanced Heart Failure team, led by Dr. Jesus Pino Moreno and Dr. Muhammad Anwer. LVAD implantation now gives more heart failure patients access to advanced care here in Hawai'i, helping them stay closer to home, family, and their support systems throughout treatment.

Mahalo to Brendan and his 'ohana for placing their trust in us. Less than three weeks after this historic surgery, he was able to return home. ❤️

On Friday, we celebrated Kahi Mohala’s second anniversary as part of The Queen’s Health Systems—a day filled with aloha, gratitude, and community. From beautiful lei made by our keiki to meaningful moments shared with staff and community partners, the celebration was a reminder of the connections that make this work so special.

Our Queen’s caregivers were proud to support the 2026 Molokai Hoe! 🌊

As paddlers crossed the Kaiwi Channel, our teams were at the finish line in Waikīkī, providing first aid, cancer screenings and education, biometric assessments, and Native Hawaiian Health resources to paddlers and the community.

For Nānākuli resident Camellia “Ulu” Kamaunu, Queen’s Hoʻopili Ola Remote Patient Monitoring program has been life-changing. Through connected health devices, 24/7 nursing monitoring, and personalized support from Patient Community Navigators, Ulu gained the tools and confidence to take charge of her health from home. 🏡💙

Now expanded statewide, Hoʻopili Ola is helping eligible patients across Hawaiʻi manage chronic conditions while staying connected to their Queen’s care team.
