What if the very things we’ve spent years trying to fix about ourselves are actually connected to our greatest gifts?

The parts we’ve learned to hide, question, or judge may hold clues to our natural abilities, intuition, and the ways we’re uniquely designed to experience life.

Sometimes it takes seeing ourselves through a different lens to recognize what has been there all along.

In Episode 01 of the Everyday Illumination Podcast, I’m sharing how astrology, Human Design, Gene Keys, and my work as an art therapist helped me recognize my own gifts and learn to trust myself.

Now streaming on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, and Substack.

The more time I spend communing with the land, the more I realize how much Gaia is teaching us about ourselves.

We admire the mountains for their strength, the trees for their resilience, the flowers for their beauty, and the changing seasons for their ability to transform.

We see beauty in the imperfect, the wild, the weathered, and the unexpected. We don’t ask the forest to be anything other than what it is.

And yet, how often do we struggle to offer ourselves that same appreciation?

Maybe our connection to nature is also an invitation to recognize our own unique beauty.

To see ourselves with the same wonder, compassion, and reverence we so freely give to the world around us.

What if the beauty you’ve been searching for has been reflecting something within you all along?

There’s a certain kind of safety that allows us to let our guard down, stop overthinking, and simply be ourselves.

For many of us, especially those who have spent years being hyperaware of other people’s emotions, expectations, and reactions, being silly and playful can actually feel vulnerable and at times unsafe.

We learn to read the room, adjust ourselves, and hold back parts of our personality to feel accepted.

But part of healing is learning to create that safety within ourselves. To stop needing permission to take up space, laugh too loudly, be ridiculous, and enjoy being human.

And yes, the people we surround ourselves with matter. Some relationships naturally invite more of us to come forward.

But ultimately, we get to decide how much of ourselves we’re willing to express.

Playfulness is a beautiful expression of freedom, authenticity, and feeling safe enough to be seen. And I’m working with this energy to create more in my own field for myself and you. Welcome to a space where we get to be all of who we are. ❤️

I’ve had this dream since I first became a therapist in 2014.

I remember sitting with a client and wishing she could see herself the way I saw her. Her gifts, her potential, the different parts of herself that had developed through everything she’d experienced.

And that dream has stayed with me.

Over the years, astrology, Human Design, Gene Keys, and my own intuition have given me different ways to help people recognize the patterns, gifts, and possibilities within their lives.

But something has shifted for me.

After years of studying these modalities and using them in my work, I’m realizing that the greatest gift isn’t knowing how to read a chart. It’s learning to trust what we already know about ourselves.

The charts helped me recognize the thread running through my own life. They gave me language for experiences I hadn’t fully understood and helped me trust my intuition.

And now I want to help others develop that same relationship with themselves.

To see themselves with greater clarity, understand their experiences from a different perspective, and feel empowered to live the life they’re envisioning.

That’s the dream. It always has been.

And it’s also the heart of my new Everyday Illumination podcast, where we’ll explore consciousness, intuition, Gene Keys, and what it means to bring all this wisdom into everyday life.

What are you ready to carry forward, and what are you finally willing to put down?

The Four of Cups, Ten of Wands, and Five of Pentacles speak to the emotional weight, responsibilities, and experiences of lack or exclusion we may have carried for years. Some of these patterns began long before us, passed through family lines, inherited beliefs, and experiences that shaped how we see ourselves and what we believe is possible.

This connects beautifully with Gene Key 32, the energy of now. We are moving from the Shadow of Failure through the Gift of Preservation to the Siddhi of Veneration (deep respect).

Preservation invites us to discern what is worth carrying forward. What wisdom, gifts, resilience, and experiences deserve a place in the future we’re creating? And what patterns have served their purpose?

The 3 of Wands shifts our attention toward the horizon. There is a vision beyond what we’ve known, but expanding into it asks us to perceive beyond the limitations of our past.

With the Crown Chakra as our clarifier, we’re invited to open our perspective, connect with higher wisdom, and recognize possibilities we may not have considered.

This is part of the quantum leap. We get to honor where we came from without continuing to recreate it.

We are the bridge between what has been and what is possible.

What are you choosing to preserve as you move into your next chapter?

First you are amazing go you! Trust me there is an answer. You’re got this.

Everything is clicking for me now. Yaaaas! ✨

Si last week Gene Key 57 took us on a journey from Unease → Intuition → Clarity.

And sometimes clarity arrives when we stop trying so hard to figure everything out. In my case I feel like it was when I was open to the unknown and got really honest about what I truly desired.

We zoom out. We see possibilities we couldn’t see before. We trust the next move without needing to know how the entire puzzle comes together.

This is the gift of intuition. Learning to recognize what we already know, trusting our inner guidance, and allowing clarity to emerge through experience.

Sometimes the smallest shifts in perspective change everything.

Less overthinking. More trusting what clicks. Next Gene Key 32… Failure → Preservation → Veneration stay tuned. It will be my first podcast episode.

I can’t believe this is where I live. This. I’ve been waiting all my life to feel this feeling. Garsta (Mt. Hood) and her brother Pahto (Mt. Adams) just took a short detour home from the grocery store. My spiritual team is ridiculous. No gps just intuition. Saw Garsta on way out and way home Pahto. I feel such a strong pull to them and channeling with them daily is so wild. I’m filled with gratitude. 🙏🏼 Thank you Gaia for guiding me here and holding me the last 6 months the 16th it will be exactly 6 months since I arrived. Hood River and my Orchard family thank you. 🫰🏼✨⚡️💫 pure magic.

Just a little autumn magic in the Fruit Loop. Fresh-picked apples turned into homemade apple butter, apple bread, and c***r. Notthing was wasted in collaboration with the land I live on. 🍎

There’s something so satisfying about slowing down, getting your hands into the season, filling the kitchen with cinnamon and spice, and enjoying the simple pleasures of making something from scratch.

Living in the middle of the orchards during harvest season is a whole experience, and I’m soaking up every bit of it.

This is part of my future vision for land stewardship and creating a healing place for people to come and community to be built. Get the recipe link in bio.
