HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEET MAN BOY!!!!!

I remember looking at you as a little baby and wondering who you’d be.
What would you love?
What would make you laugh?
What would you be curious about?
What would matter to you?

It’s been one of the greatest joys of my life getting to watch those answers unfold.

You’ve always had a way of following your own path, even when it doesn’t match what the world says you should do. You trust yourself in ways that I admire. You stay true to who you are, and that takes courage.

As your mom, I can look back and see all the places where I wish I had known more, understood more, or done things differently. That’s part of life, I think. We learn as we go. We earn wisdom through time and experience. There is no perfect way to do any of this. There’s just loving each other, making mistakes, learning, growing, and trying again.

And through it all, you’ve always been a wonderful, most sweet human.

I see how heavy the world can feel sometimes. I see how much uncertainty your generation carries. The fear is real. The unknown is real.

But so is hope.
So is kindness.
So is laughter, friendship, adventure, love, and all those moments that remind us life is still full of good things.

If I could wish anything for you, it would be this: keep following what lights you up. Keep listening to your own heart. Don’t let fear convince you it’s the only thing that’s real. There is sooooooo much beauty here too.

I wish you lifetimes of magic.

I hope today is a reminder of how deeply loved you are, how cherished you’ve always been, and how many lives are better because you’re in them.

I love you beyond words and I am so grateful and honored to be your mom.

Here’s to another year of laughter, wonder, adventures, and all sorts of magical moments.

Happy Birthday ❤️🥳✨

Lately I’ve felt a little disconnected from social media.
Not from my work.
Not from people.
Just from the pressure to constantly turn life into content.

What I know to be true is that not everything meaningful is always visible online.

Some of the most beautiful moments happen quietly.
In conversations behind the chair.
In the exhale after someone finally sees themselves again.
In grief.
In softness.
In becoming.

I think a lot of my energy lately has been moving toward reflection as I navigate the newness of this chapter of life. I’ve been getting curious about the heroine’s journey, the post-menopausal space in a woman’s life, and all the ways western culture has taught us to fear “aging” instead of honoring the experience of moving through time.

I’m not the maiden.
Not the mother.
Not yet the crone.

There’s something incredibly beautiful about this liminal space in between.
The queen.
The woman rewriting the rules of beauty, visibility, sensuality, purpose, and selfhood for herself.

Lots of dismantling lately.
Lots of listening.
Lots of returning to what actually feels true.

And honestly… maybe that’s exactly what a Black Moon Lilith rising Aries sun woman was always going to do anyway 🔥👑

So much fun creating soft layers and adding movement for the kind of hair that catches the wind just right.

To mother is to tend.
To soften.
To protect.
To witness growth.
To hold space through becoming.
To choose love again and again, even when it asks something of you.
To mother is also courage.
Fierce devotion.
And oh great Goddess is it messy.
Feral.
Unruly at times.
A love that doesn’t always look composed, but is always real.

The bravery to keep showing up, to hold grief and joy in the same hands, to nurture through uncertainty, to protect what is tender, and to remain openhearted in a world that can harden us.

Some people mother children, some mother communities, friendships, partners, ideas, art, animals, plants, or even themselves back to life.

Mothering is an energy.
A practice.
A way of loving.

Today I’m honoring all the people who nurture in seen and unseen ways…
the caretakers,
the cycle breakers,
the gentle souls learning to reparent themselves, the people grieving mothers,
grieving children,
becoming mothers,
choosing not to be mothers,
or simply learning how to hold themselves with more tenderness.

May we continue widening our understanding of care, love, and nurturing beyond binaries, beyond roles, beyond expectation. 🦋

Curls, but with intention ✨
Diffusing isn’t just about speed, it’s about structure and definition.

When curls stay wet too long, the hair shaft swells and lifts the cuticle (hello frizz + fatigue).
Diffusing gently sets the curl pattern in place, locking in definition before that happens.

And here’s the part people miss
removing excess water actually helps the hair hold onto moisture.
Less swelling, less stress on the strand, more elasticity, more shine.

So it’s not just volume
it’s protection, longevity, and curls that feel as good as they look.

I began my journey with Reiki and energy work just prior to the pandemic.

It supported me deeply in my own healing and expanded what I believed to be true about who and what we are as humans.

At the time, I didn’t have the language for it
but I could feel something shifting in me.

It began opening awareness of my subtle senses and my energy body in a way I hadn’t accessed before.

I grew up in religion, and within a Western cultural framework that taught me to place truth outside of myself.

And in a family system where emotions were often something to move past rather than move through, I learned early how to disconnect from what I was feeling.

Over time, I began to realize how out of my body I had become.

And how much of life I had been navigating from the mind alone.

For me, healing began with returning to the body.

To sensation.
To presence.
To what is actually here.

Reiki became one of the practices that supported that return.

Not by adding something new… but by helping me listen differently.

And that listening changed the way I work, create, and hold space—especially in my beauty practice, where supporting the whole being in the chair is a foundational part of what I offer.

The softest shift with a little fringe to frame the light of the sweetest soul ✨

Thank you for your trust, support and beautiful presence 🦋

Just over a month in this sweet little sanctuary and I still catch my breath when the light moves through it ✨

This space feels like a threshold, an in between place where who we were and who we are becoming meet. A soft doorway into something more aligned, more alive, more true.

There is something deeply sacred about being here and offering my work in this way. My magic, my rituals, my presence… it all feels held by the land, the light, and the energy of what this place is becoming.

So much gratitude for ‘s love and support in this unfolding… it is woven into the heartbeat of this space.

It is more than a location. It is a living enchantment. A place of healing, beauty, and becoming. And I feel so grateful to offer from here 💫

a weekend that felt like a portal photo-dump ✨

birthday… anniversary… and becoming
closing out my reiki master training
and for my birthday… made me a piece of my childhood with my favorite cake 🥹 something so simple, so sacred, so remembered

from there… straight into real life magic
dinner with the fam, full hearts and full plates
karaoke courage and laughter that lingers

and a hike through the gorge on the most wildly blustery day… wind in our faces, reminding us we’re alive

so much gratitude for this life, this path, these people
for the becoming that never asks me to arrive… only to keep opening

feeling cracked open in the best way 💫
