2.

Dr Bob has been in chiropractic practice since 1993 and practicing transformative nutrition since 2007. His practice is based on a concept of wellness care that works for children and adults. He works with people as young as 1 day old all the way up to in the 90’s. People are excited about what they are doing together because they aren’t needing medications and they feel more enlivened. Any chroni

c degenerative disease (symptom) is at the end of a cascade of events. So here you are today with a syndrome of some type that may need constant symptomatic alteration with medication. No matter what “thing” a person has, it started with a cause, which in a nutshell is stress. These stresses are physical, nutritional or biochemical and emotional. When your body encounters a stress, this is actually a good thing. Body systems are in place to react and if things are working correctly, your body gets stronger. For example, exercise stresses the body and you get stronger. When children encounter a “bug” for the first time, the symptoms say sick but the body’s ability to fight “bugs” is getting stronger if they are allowed to fight it naturally. So, we have a cause (stress) that causes the body to adapt. This adaptation causes a depletion of bodily resources and if ongoing, leads to imbalance in body function. Until we reach this point, all of this goes on without us knowing it because the symptoms we experience are an effect not the problem. If the symptoms last long enough, we are labeled with a syndrome or disease. The medical paradigm is to suppress or change the symptoms / numbers. This usually suppresses the body’s ability to get stronger which most often prolongs the suffering. The way Dr. Bob approaches health is to look for the things that are stressing the body (remember the 3 types of stress), remove and or change those which will allow the body to get stronger while it is encountering stress. This will not suppress the symptoms, but allow the body to go through the natural process of change. Let’s look at physical stress
I use chiropractic adjustments to help remove physical stress on the body. Chiropractic is a healing art that improves the health and function of the spine. This in turn helps clear up the communication between your brain, the body and the environment so that it can accurately perceive what is going on and respond appropriately. How about nutritional or biochemical

This could be what you are eating or not eating. Most often it is a combination of dietary modification and supporting the systems that have depleted resources with whole food supplements and herbal products. There are seven areas to be assessed and supported.
1. Blood sugar balance
3. Mineral balance
4. Immune / inflammatory
5. Digestive function
6. Circulatory issues
7. Cellular vitality

While this list is hierarchal, they are all interrelated. For example, with chronically dysregulated blood sugar, the hormones that help control blood sugar become unbalanced causing the whole hormonal axis to unbalance as well as causing mineral imbalances. You can’t have health hormones without stable blood sugar.

🚨 Tired of being stuck on Prilosec, Nexium, or any “purple pill” forever? 😩💊

Most doctors won’t tell you this: Over 90% of chronic heartburn & reflux is actually caused by TOO LITTLE stomach acid — not too much!

Long-term PPIs are destroying your stomach lining, tanking digestion, and making rebound acid worse when you try to quit.

I’ve helped hundreds ditch the pills for good with this natural healing protocol that repairs your stomach so it can produce acid normally again (usually in 6–12 weeks).

✅ Small frequent meals

✅ Gastrex before meals to soothe burning fast

✅ Targeted supplements to heal the lining

✅ Acid tolerance test with apple cider vinegar

✅ Then slowly add enzymes + acid back in

Real healing > masking symptoms 🌱

Living with Crohn’s Disease, Ulcerative Colitis (IBD), or IBS is exhausting — the sudden bathroom urgency, cramping, bloating, fatigue, and rollercoaster unpredictability wear you down. 💚 You’re not alone, and there ARE natural ways to support your body alongside (or beyond) medications.

Quick overview of the conditions:

•Crohn’s — Inflammation anywhere from mouth to a**s, often deep and patchy. Common symptoms: diarrhea, sharp lower-right abdominal pain, weight loss, fatigue, mouth sores.

•Ulcerative Colitis — Continuous inflammation of the colon/rectum lining. Symptoms: bloody diarrhea, cramps, urgency, sometimes joint pain, skin/eye issues.

•IBS — No visible inflammation or damage, but a hypersensitive gut triggered by stress → cramps, bloating, gas, alternating diarrhea/constipation.

These disrupt nutrient absorption, immunity, mood (gut = second brain!), and daily life. Common triggers: processed foods, stress, certain meds, infections, smoking (especially bad for Crohn’s).

Many people blend conventional treatment with natural strategies diet changes, stress relief, and targeted whole-food supplements to calm inflammation, repair the gut lining, reduce flares, and feel more in control.

Practical natural support ideas (discuss with your practitioner first!):
For IBD (Crohn’s & Ulcerative Colitis):

•Start to calm inflammation: Gastrex (soothes gut) → transition to Okra-Pepsin (repairs lining) + Boswellia Complex + Tuna Omega Oil (omega-3s fight inflammation).

•Level up: Chlorophyll Complex (tissue healing like greens in a capsule), Cataplex C (vitamin C for repair & immunity), Dermatrophin PMG (barrier strength).
For IBS:

•Stage 1 – Ease symptoms:Cramplex (cramps), Lactic Acid Yeast/Zymex (balance microbes → less bloating/gas), Nevaton or Boswellia Complex (stress/inflammation relief).

•Stage 2 – Rebuild:Okra-Pepsin + Cataplex C + Chlorophyll Complex to strengthen & heal the lining.

Simple daily wins everyone can try:
•Elimination diet test: Drop dairy, wheat, sugar, processed foods for 1–2 weeks — many see HUGE relief!
• Focus on whole foods: veggies, fermented items (kefir, yogurt), healthy fats (fish, flax), gentle real-food fiber.

•Stress management: yoga, meditation, walks — game-changer for IBS and preventing IBD flares.

•Avoid aggravators: smoking, NSAIDs, artificial additives.

There’s no magic cure, but nourishing your body this way — often alongside medical care — can cut flares, boost energy, and bring more good days. Small consistent steps really add up. 🌿

Your No-Nonsense Guide to a Happy Gut – Because Digestion Shouldn't Be a Daily Battle!

Ever finish a meal and feel like your stomach is throwing a protest? Bloating, gas, irregular bathroom trips, or that heavy "brick" feeling? You're not alone—millions deal with this, thanks to stress, processed foods, and skimpy nutrients. The good news? Your gut is a powerhouse when you give it the right support.

Let's break down the Triad of Digestion – the three key players that handle proteins, carbs, and fats. When they're in sync, you feel energized and light. When one's off? Hello, discomfort.

1. Proteins: The Stomach's Heavy Work Steak, eggs, lentils—they get broken down in your stomach by acid and enzymes (like tiny shredders). Low acid? Proteins sit around, ferment, and create foul gas, bloating, heartburn, or irregular poops. (Surprise: heartburn is often from too little acid, not too much!)

Quick wins:
•Sip 1-2 tbsp apple cider vinegar in water before meals (add honey if it's too tangy) to kickstart acid production.

•Chew slowly and eat relaxed—stress tanks acid.

•Consider Zypan (a whole-food supplement with enzymes and betaine HCl) for extra protein-digesting support.

Pro tip: Long-term acid blockers can worsen nutrient absorption—short-term only!

2. Carbs: The Colon's Party Zone Bread, fruit, pasta—saliva starts the job, but good bacteria in your colon finish it, turning carbs into energy. Unhappy bacteria = loud (non-smelly) gas, sluggish poops, and energy crashes.

Quick wins:
•Add fermented foods like sauerkraut, kefir, or yogurt to crowd in the good guys.

•Load up on veggies—they're bacterial superfood.

•Cut excess sugar (it feeds the wrong crowd).

•Try Lactic Acid Yeast as a prebiotic boost for better carb breakdown.

A slightly acidic colon keeps the good bacteria winning—no more dragging through the afternoon.

3. Fats: The Gallbladder's Big Moment Butter, nuts, olive oil—bile from your liver (stored in the gallbladder) emulsifies fats so you absorb them (and fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, K). Sluggish bile? Greasy, hard-to-flush poops or feeling off after rich meals.

Quick wins:
•Eat beets (roasted, greens, or juice)—they support healthy bile flow naturally.

•Sip lemon water or nibble pickles to nudge bile release.

•Stick to quality fats like olive or coconut oil.

•Betafood (beet-based) is a go-to for fat digestion and liver support, especially after years of junk fats.

(No gallbladder? Your liver still makes bile, but it's a slower drip—smaller, more frequent meals help.)

The Gut Squad in Action
•Stomach acid: Shreds proteins + kills bad germs.

•Bile: Masters fats + flushes toxins.

•Good bacteria: Powers carbs.

One weak link = bloating, gas, fatigue. All strong = unstoppable energy.

Easy Daily Habits for Gut Bliss
•Chew slowly, savor meals—no stress-eating.

•Aim for 90% real food: bright veggies/fruits, pasture-raised meats, fermented goodies, solid fats (nuts, olive oil).

•Hydrate: half your body weight in ounces of water daily.

•Skip heavy snacks—especially sugary ones.

•Ditch processed dairy, fake sweeteners, fried junk, cheap oils.

Raw, grass-fed options beat processed every time—nature knows best.

Gut Check Test Heartburn or bloating? Try the ACV trick: sip diluted apple cider vinegar before a meal. Feels better? Likely low acid. Worse? Probably okay (but rare).

Bottom Line No need for magic pills—just feed your gut right. Real whole foods + smart habits go far. If you want extra support (especially after years of processed eating), we love Standard Process whole-food supplements:
•Zypan for protein power & stomach strength.

•Betafood for bile/liver/fat support.

•Multizyme for broad enzyme help on all macros.

•Lactic Acid Yeast for carb-loving bacteria.

Start small: Add more veggies + fermented foods today, chew better, and watch how quickly you feel the difference. Your gut (and energy) will thank you!

Natural (whole food-based) vitamins vs. Synthetic vitamins.

Natural vitamins come straight from real food — fruits, vegetables, and other living sources. They’re not just isolated chemicals. They come as complete “teams” bundled with co-factors, enzymes, bioflavonoids, trace minerals, and phytonutrients that work together synergistically — exactly the way nature designed them for better absorption and real nourishment.

For example:
•Natural vitamin C isn’t just ascorbic acid (which makes up only about 5% of the whole complex). It includes bioflavonoids, tyrosinase, and other supporting factors that help repair blood vessels, fight oxidative stress, and support your immune system far more effectively.

•Natural vitamin E isn’t just alpha-tocopherol — it’s a full family including gamma-tocopherol, tocotrienols, and selenium that protect your cells in a more balanced, holistic way.

These natural forms stay in gentler, more balanced doses because nature doesn’t believe in mega-dosing. Your body recognizes them as food.

Synthetic vitamins, on the other hand, are usually lab-created copies made from petroleum byproducts or chemical processes. They’re often just the isolated “active” molecule (like plain ascorbic acid for C or dl-alpha-tocopherol for E) with no supporting team. Sometimes they even come in molecular forms your body doesn’t use well — or that can actually interfere with the real thing.

Here are some common red flags on supplement labels:
•No actual food source listed (if it doesn’t say “from acerola,” “from citrus,” “from yeast,” etc., it’s probably synthetic)

•Extremely high mega-doses that you’d never get from food

•Words like “hydrochloride,” “acetate,” “succinate,” “gluconate,” or “bitartrate”

So… do they actually work the same in your body?

Research suggests no.

Some eye-opening examples:
•The famous CARET trial (1994) found that male smokers taking synthetic beta-carotene and vitamin E actually had higher rates of lung cancer, heart problems, and death compared to placebo.

•A major 1995 study showed pregnant women taking high-dose synthetic vitamin A (over 10,000 IU/day) had a significantly increased risk of birth defects — while natural food sources did not show the same risks.

•Synthetic vitamin C has been associated in some research with artery thickening in men, whereas whole-food vitamin C supports healthy vessels and helps resolve issues like bleeding gums more effectively.

The “more is better” idea is heavily marketed because synthetic vitamins are cheap to produce in massive doses. But quality almost always beats quantity. A small amount of a living, synergistic vitamin complex often outperforms large amounts of isolated chemicals.

If you’re shopping for supplements, look for “whole food vitamins” or ones that clearly list real food sources. Brands like Standard Process specialize in this approach growing ingredients organically and keeping the nutrients as close to their natural state as possible.

Bottom line: Most vitamins sitting on store shelves are synthetic knockoffs — cheap, isolated, and missing the “spark of life” that makes nutrition actually work. Your body knows the difference.

Feed it real, whole-food nutrition first through diet, and when you do supplement, choose thoughtfully.

What about you? Have you ever noticed a difference between natural/whole-food supplements and regular synthetic ones? Do you have a favorite brand or experience you’d like to share?
