We’re working 8:30–5 today at Medi Mart — just like Dolly sang… well, kinda, it was 9–5, but you get it 😂🎶💗 We’re still saddened by the loss of Dolly Parton and remembering the incredible legacy she leaves behind. Beyond her music, Dolly gave so much back through her support of healthcare and medical research, including her contribution to vaccine research. 💊🩺 Her generosity reached far beyond the stage, and that’s something we especially appreciate in the pharmacy world. ❤️ And speaking of things we’re ready for… FALL! 🍂🎃 We said we were going to speak it into existence, so the decorations are coming out whether Arkansas weather is ready or not 😂🍁 Come see us today from 8:30–5!

💊⏱️ MEDICINE MINUTE: KEPPRA® (LEVETIRACETAM) 🧠

Today’s Medicine Minute is about a medication you may have heard of but might not know much about — Keppra®!

🧠 What is Keppra?
Keppra (levetiracetam) is an anti-seizure medication used to help control certain types of seizures. It works by helping calm abnormal electrical activity in the brain.

💊 A few things to know:

😴 Sleepiness & dizziness can happen.
Especially when first starting Keppra or after a dose change, some people may feel tired, dizzy, or less coordinated.

😤 Mood changes are worth watching for.
Keppra can sometimes cause irritability, agitation, aggression, or other changes in mood or behavior. If you or your family notice a significant change, let your healthcare provider know.

🚫 Don’t suddenly stop taking it!
Stopping Keppra abruptly can increase the risk of seizures. Always talk with your healthcare provider before changing or stopping your dose.

⏰ Consistency matters.
Take Keppra exactly as prescribed and try to take it around the same time each day to help keep a steady amount of medication in your body.
