🌿 Lavender (Lavandula spp.) is one of my favorite herbs for the home herbal medicine kit. Lavender fills so many purposes plus it smells great!

🌿 Lavender has calming and mild sedative properties, stilling anxieties and resetting the nervous system. As a calmative and antianxiety, the scent alone as an essential oil or dried herbal potpourri, will relax the parasympathetic nervous system in seconds, opening and relaxing the breathing helping you to come peacefully back into the present moment. Taken as a tea alone or with other herbs, its bitter principles can be effective for alleviating digestive issues and nervous tummies.
