I think people forget that we are a work in progress, and it really does take a lot of work to change negative thoughts to positive thoughts. It's a constant process, but it doesn't mean you have to be perfect! It's just as important to love yourself and if you make a poor choice, look at why and then make a different choice.

If you need to talk it out, call someone and get some coffee, and ask them to just listen. Sometimes you just need to get it off your chest so you can look at why, and do something different. That's how you take positive steps moving forward.

It's a new moment, a new choice, a new year. Focus on the family around you, (even chosen family) and realize you are in the driver's seat of your car.

Hello! It's Soulaire, and I've been thinking that "Positive Thinking" gets a bad rap; but that's because it's misused. "Positive Thinking" is not pretending the bad thing didn't happen or that you can grow your arm back just by thinking positive. It's a tool to move forward by looking at what got you to this point, and then deciding to have a clean slate and doing something different.

I get to choose where I go from here.

What's in your way this week?

Do you find yourself feeling chaotic? Try these tools to help you get out of your head and back into the moment.

Tool 1: Emotional Lockdown. Take a moment and use this as a physical way to lock down the emotional energy. Also found on p.25 of Being The Soulful Journey.

Tool 2: The Universe Always Has Your Back.
You are the whole of your Universe, the creator of your world, the manifestor of your destiny and that truly means you are accountable for the whole of your universe. Being accountable for all of it means being accountable for each and every thought, word, feeling, emotion and action you are putting out to the universe, because they all create.

Tool 3: Meditation. Slow down and listen to this five minute guided mediation to help you slow down. If you don't care for guided meditations, there is an instrumental only version available.

Remember only you can change the momentum you are in. If you are chaotic, what are you trying to avoid? Slow down, lockdown the emotion and remember to breathe. Identify your next steps and move forward. Repeat as needed.

What's in your way this week?

Do you find yourself feeling powerless? Try these tools to help you get back into your own creative power.

Tool 1: Who is driving your car? An article that talks about the importance of standing up for yourself and getting back into that driver's seat.

Tool 2: Take Accountability. Sometimes we are feeling powerless because we haven't taken accountability. It can be hard, but it is extremely rewarding to understand the power we do have. Reset with the "Take Accountability" reset button. (It's audio only right now but working on getting transcripts)

Tool 3: Set an Intention. Say what you desire to see and then put the actions behind those words.

"I set the intention to be a strong, powerful, motivated, and kind person today and every day.
I am no longer going to be a doormat; I am my own strength.
My strength is found in my ability to make my own decisions and I let my voice be heard by myself, and those around me."
