It’s been 5 years since Anderson’s big operation. We are blessed to watch him grow and thrive.

Anderson had an ekg, echo and pacemaker check today. His anatomy remains in unchanged. Several of his valves are still leaky, but they haven’t gotten worse.

Electrically, Anderson has become more reliant on his pacemaker. He went from 20% to 50% paced in a year. Now that he’s pacing more, his battery is being used up faster. Right now, we are on track for a new pacemaker in 4 years.

Our appointment went really well. Anderson was tired and his echo was really hard for him to sit through. We ended our trip with a Lego set to celebrate his heart anniversary and bravery today.

This year Center Street Elementary School is doing to fun run to raise money for Live4Evan in honor of Anderson’s congenital heart defect.

For those of you who don’t know, Live4Evan provides housing to CHD families in Boston. They were an incredible source of support when Anderson was undergoing his first open heart surgery.

Anderson received a good report at this heart check up today. ♥️💪🏼💙

♥️He’s pacing at 24% on one side and 27% on the other. This is great news because a heavy reliance on pacing can increase heart failure.

💙His tricuspid and mitral valve continue to leak, but it remains mild 👏🏻

♥️His surgery/baffle is holding up great! His images looked amazing and they were impressed by his insane anatomy.

💙His blood pressure still remains elevated, but within reason.They plan to up his dose since he’s growing and continue to monitor it moving forward.

This guy was able to sit through a long ekg, pacemaker check and echo with the patience of a saint. Now if I could only get him to sit still at the dinner table! 🤔

After our appointments,we celebrated the good news with laser tag! 🔫

On 1/8/2021 our warrior was given the gift of life. Anderson endured a 10+ hour anatomical repair and pacemaker placement that has allowed our boy to thrive. A day prior to this, Anderson went into complete heart block and was rushed into emergency surgery for a temporary pacemaker placement.

Every “heart” anniversary, we like to celebrate Anderson. Thanks to his incredible team of doctors nurses we get to watch our boy grow.
