Summer break is officially here and your kids' spines are about to be put to the test.
Here's what we see every summer: kids go from structured school days to long hours in the car, sleeping in weird positions on vacation, carrying heavy bags at the beach, and spending a lot of time on devices. All of it adds up, and little spines feel it just like big spines do.
Some simple things that help:
→ Keep up with their chiropractic adjustments over the summer, it's actually a great time to come in more consistently since schedules are looser
→ Watch how they carry things, weight and balance matter more than you think
→ Encourage active play over screen marathons
→ Notice how they're sitting during car trips and set up their space with support
Kids are resilient — but they're not invincible. A little awareness now goes a long way. 🩵
