Mark your calendars and come meet author Kim Larkins at the Downeast Authors’ Book Fair and Literary Festival on August 8th, 2026 at the Schoodic Gateway Event Center in Sullivan, Maine. We will be hosting over 25 Maine authors from 10am to 4pm. This event is free to the public!

Kim Larkins is a licensed clinical social worker in private practice in Houlton, Maine. Kim has worked in the mental health field for 30+ years. She has published four children’s books through Loving Healing Press focusing on mindfulness and other mental health related topics. She has a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Maine.

Our final special guest for Story & Craft Time in April is Kim Larkins, Author! We have had Kim here in the past for both of her "Emma Lou the Yorkie Poo" book releases, and now she is going to introduce us to a new character in her book "Ruby the Redhead: From Hurt Feelings to Happy Hearts"! The craft will be heart-shaped suncatchers. Kim will have copies of her and her daughter's (Sarah Porter "I'm Mixed & I'm Me") books available to purchase and have signed. We hope to see you next Wednesday, April 29th, 3-4pm.
