Machine Hairstrokes (Nano Brows)
“Nano” refers to the size of the needle, which is why prefer to say machine hairstrokes to avoid confusion with microblading, which can also be done using a nano size blade
The main difference is that the nano needle used for machine hairstrokes is typically a single needle, whereas a microblade can consist of 14–18 tiny needles grouped together to form the blade that’s used to implant pigment into the skin
Because of this, machine hairstrokes tend to heal more consistently, create softer results, and cause less trauma to the skin over time
However, clients who are not ideal candidates for microblading are also not ideal candidates for machine hairstrokes. The machine strokes can still blur or fade quickly depending on skin type. The difference isn’t necessarily longer lasting results, but rather how the skin heals and maintains the integrity of the strokes over time
