KMIZ DDT 4.0-12 F is a multifunctional diamond bit that deserves a place in every nail tech’s toolkit. It can replace several bits and works for both manicures and pedicures.
Its anatomical tip lets you lift and push back the cuticle, gently work in the nail sidewall pockets, shape the natural nail’s free edge and clean underneath it.
The fine diamond abrasive removes pterygium, smooths the nail plate, refines the cuticle area and smooths the skin along the nail folds.
The large working surface protects against overheating during use and extends the life of the bit.

Three common mistakes when using a flame bit 🔥

❌ 1. Pressing the tip into the skin or nail plate
The tip should never dig into the surface. Watch your bit placement and avoid applying pressure with the tip.

❌ 2. Tilting the tip upward under the cuticle
The working surface of the bit should stay parallel to the nail plate, with the tip moving along it rather than pointing upward under the cuticle.

❌ 3. Choosing the wrong speed
At excessively low speeds, the bit may skip or drag, leaving grooves and failing to thoroughly remove pterygium. Excessively high speeds increase the risk of overfiling, heat buildup, and discomfort.

✅ Speed guide: 7,000-10,000 RPM for beginners and around 15,000 RPM for experienced technicians. Adjust the speed to the client’s cuticle type and your skill level.

A worn-out bit isn’t a polishing bit. It’s a bit that needs replacing.
“I buy blue-band bits and use them for polishing once they wear down. Am I doing it right?”
No. That’s a mistake.
Wear dulls the abrasive grains. It doesn’t turn a medium-grit bit into a fine-grit one. Worn bits work less efficiently and can cause heat, discomfort, and skin damage.
Fine-grit bits designed for delicate skin refinement, smoothing, and polishing have smaller abrasive grains and finer edges from the start. This allows for gentle, precise work. Worn, blunt larger grains cannot replace them.
Choose the grit for the task, not the amount of wear.
