You don't have to wait until September 7. ❤️

Doug and I have been talking about creating a safe place for those affected by the flooding to come together—to talk, process, be encouraged, pray, or simply listen.

We've set aside September 7 for two free Zoom gatherings:
11 AM Central / 12 PM Eastern6 PM Central / 7 PM Eastern

But we realized something important.
September 7 may feel like a long way away when you're struggling today.

Maybe you're exhausted now that the adrenaline is wearing off. Maybe your emotions are all over the place and you don't understand why. Maybe you're the one everyone else depends on, and you don't want to add to someone else's worries.

Or maybe sitting in a Zoom with a group of people just isn't your thing.
That's okay. You don't have to wait, and you don't have to join a group.

If you need someone to talk to, Doug and I are available for individual conversations too. No agenda. No pressure. You don't have to know what to say or even understand what you're feeling.

Sometimes we just need a safe person who will listen.
Send either of us a private message. We'll find a time to connect.

We aren't therapists, and we're not trying to be. We're simply two people who believe deeply that we were never meant to carry the hard things alone.

You matter before the Zoom. You matter after the Zoom. And you matter whether you ever come to the Zoom at all. ❤️

We're here.

The floodwaters may be going down for all our friends and followers in Ohio. That doesn't mean everything inside of you has settled yet.

You may be safe now and still feel exhausted.
You may look around and think, “We're okay. Other people have it so much worse. Why am I so emotional?”

You may be having trouble sleeping, crying unexpectedly, feeling overwhelmed by little things, or simply feeling like you have nothing left.

Please don't judge yourself for that.

You have been through something frightening and uncertain. Sometimes our hearts and bodies need more time to catch up with what our minds already know: The immediate danger has passed.

And sometimes one of the most healing things we can do is simply tell another person, “This is how I'm doing.”

You don't have to explain it.
You don't have to fix it.
And you don't have to carry it alone.

We're listening. ❤️

As a Christian I’ve had a handful of unusual experiences/miracles in my life. I’ve had my gas tank go from empty to 1/4 of a tank to get home from Bible college yrs ago. I’ve had God remove a nail causing a slow leak in my tire and patch the hole when I took it to be fixed. A friend of mine yrs ago accidentally put diesel fuel in a gasoline U-haul and we prayed over the truck and Jesus turned diesel fuel into gasoline just like He turned water into wine at the historical wedding in the Bible because the truck was fine and we got him moved. When my dad was dying in the hospital, I had a cyst removed from my wrist. I went to see him after the surgery. It grew back after a few years and when we moved to CA. We were at our church where the Pastor was praying for healing for people. When I got to the car my cyst was gone and it’s still gone.

My point is , life is full of heartache, triggers and trials. However it’s still full of breakthroughs and healing. ❤️‍🩹 Nobody will ever convince me the God isn’t real. I challenge you to take your own problems to God. His love is everlasting and He is no respecter of persons. Not everything we pray for works out the way we expect, but Jesus knows exactly what we need and when we need it. Breakthrough might look different for you, but it is available. So be encouraged. Your miracle is coming.
