📋 Current Openings:

• X-Ray/Computed Tomography (CT) Technologists — Full-Time & Part-Time
• Ultrasound Technologists — Full-Time & PRN
• Mammography Technologists — Full-Time & Part-Time
• PRN Positions Available

Technologists perform diagnostic examinations for evaluation and treatment by attending physicians. This position requires independent judgment, technical skill, and initiative while performing ultrasound procedures according to departmental protocols.

The technologist is responsible for ensuring the safety, comfort, and proper identification of patients, verifying that procedures have been appropriately ordered, and maintaining high standards throughout each examination. Additional related duties may be assigned as needed.

Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of Radiation Sciences or Ultrasound Technology.

Experience:
At least 1 year of experience performing procedures preferred, or equivalent experience as determined by the Director of Radiology.

Licenses/Certifications:
• CPR certification required
• ARDMS or ARRT (US) required

Today, our team joined Chickasaw EMA for a Tabletop Exercise focused on emergency preparedness, response, and coordination.

Exercises like this help our team stay prepared, strengthen communication, and ensure we’re ready to respond when our community needs us most.

We’re proud to work alongside our local emergency partners to keep Houston prepared and protected. 🚑💙

🌟 September Superstar of the Month: Shannon Carter 🌟

Please join us in celebrating Shannon Carter, our September Superstar of the Month!

Shannon has dedicated an incredible 34 years to respiratory therapy and has been part of the Progressive Health of Houston family since 1993. Her passion for helping others and improving the quality of life for those in her community is a true reflection of the heart she brings to her work every day.

Outside of work, Shannon enjoys spending time with her husband, Shawn, their three beautiful daughters—Caitlyn, Christanne, and Curstyn—and her precious granddaughter, Livi Cait, whom she loves to spoil! She also enjoys traveling, antiquing, spending time in nature, and making memories with friends and family.

And for a little fun, Shannon used to love playing softball and water slaloming! These days, you can also win her over with a plate of charbroiled oysters.

We are grateful for Shannon’s many years of dedication, compassion, and service to our patients and our community. Congratulations, Shannon, and thank you for everything you do! 💙

Have You Checked Your Lung Health? 🫁

Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the U.S., and early lung cancer often causes no symptoms. Screening can help detect it earlier, when it may be easier to treat.

You may qualify for lung cancer screening if you:
• Are 55–74 years old
• Have a 30+ pack-year smoking history
• Currently smoke or quit within the last 15 years
• Have no symptoms of lung cancer

Other risk factors include radon or chemical exposure, family history, COPD, and pulmonary fibrosis.

Mrs. Griffin and Mrs. Myatt’s Health Science students had the opportunity to tour Progressive Health of Houston (PHG) yesterday! Students explored different areas of the hospital and learned more about what to expect as they prepare for their upcoming clinical rotations.

We appreciate PHG for providing our students with this valuable hands-on learning experience!

A big thank you to PHI Air Medical Columbus, MS for spending time with our team and providing valuable education on Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)! 🩺🚑

PALS training helps healthcare professionals recognize and respond to life-threatening emergencies in infants and children, strengthening critical skills in areas such as respiratory distress, shock, cardiac emergencies, airway management, and emergency interventions.

Continued education and hands-on training help our team stay prepared to provide high-quality care when our youngest patients need it most. ❤️
