Fun, hot, windy, hilly ride, chip seal ride in Shiner yesterday. Woozers those 50 miles took more than Little Elm 56 miles in March. And we all know how Little Elm was.
The farmland and open land made up for the chip seal and all the lovely wind and heat mother nature decided to add to the day. Just being surrounded by some many other cyclists enjoying the day kept you going. Rest stops were well maintained. Volunteers were friendly.

Love when I can get out for a ride with athletes and friends.

Today we had a nice long WU then we did 4x 1 mile intervals all out. And lucky us they were into the wind. It’s so fun when you work hard for 3 mins and then practically coast back at the same speed because of the tail wind 🤣🤣.

Nothing better than getting out on the road to get stronger and faster with friends.

This is what consistency and dedication to her goals looks like. has to travel for work sometimes. But she always checks for a local cycle place to get a good spin in. With quickly approaching she’s on top of her workouts and does her best to stay consistent even when traveling.

Something I have learned over the 10 years of doing triathlons as an adult - the overall data doesn’t matter. It’s what’s in the details.
I used to worry about my overall pace and what others would think. Now I don’t care. I executed this mornings run just as I planned. An easy one mile WU. Get the body loose and moving. Then hit the bridge for some repeats. Went by feel - HR maxed out at the top - good pacing. Easy jog or even a couple seconds of walking and then easy pace until the next up hill. Rinse and repeat. And then after a break 4 sprint intervals to wrap it up. Walking back to starting point so HR comes down and I can apply full speed.
Does my 4.8 miles at a 10:24 pace tell you any of that. Will people on Strava think I did an easy run, probably, do I care no!!!!
We’ve got to get out of our heads and not worry about others. Focus on your goals, your pace and the workout. The final number may not reflect the details but that’s okay, because come race day that’s when you’ll shine.

So much fun today out at Sugarland classic. All the rain yesterday turned today’s race into more of a cyclocross race but it was still a blast. I did the rookie race. 45 minutes of up/ down spiral 🌀 of death, a little dirt, a little concrete and a lot of grass!

Almost 7 miles of high watts, high HR and finished it with a podium spot.
Thanks for all our friends that were out there cheering. Definitely kept me going, especially for the last lap!

Some many times when I’m on FB I see new athletes asking questions or just saying please tell me everything I need to know as a new athlete. Those are some loaded questions.
Having one person to go to instead of the wild world of social media is much easier.
A coach will create a plan that fits your schedule and life, take the guess work away from you.
A coach will answer all your burning questions and fill you in on things you didn’t think to ask about.
A coach will help you with nutrition and strength. Key components of a successful training plan and race day.

So if you’re still wondering how a coach can help you shoot me a DM or use the link in my bio to fill out the coaching inquiry form.

Had a great ride this morning with an awesome crew.
Shout out to Zoe for her 6th ride, not clipped in and cruised along with us no problem. Looking forward to more rides.

Love when I get to ride on Wednesdays with athletes and friends. We started off together and then and took off to do some 2 min intervals, and I were just putting some miles down.
All miles are good miles, especially when they’re shared with others.
