Hi all!

I am hosting yoga nidra and sound bath this Sunday at 7pm. Nidra means sleep. It is a guided meditation where you lie down and I lead you into a state of deep rest while you stay awake and aware. Your body gets the restoration it needs without your mind spinning.

Bridal henna like this unfolds over many hours. Friends and family come trickling in from near and far to watch the bride be adorned and to celebrate her. The air hums with excitement as the smell of fresh henna with hints of eucalyptus calms and grounds us all. The henna is placed with love and care, clean and precise, each design unhurried, and she sits patiently unmoving at the heart of it all, glowing.

For generations, across India, Africa, the Middle East, and many other parts of Asia, henna has adorned the bride before her wedding, surrounded by the women who love her.

After decades of this work, it still never gets old for me. The brides of years past return as mothers, and their daughters now sit where their mothers once sat, which tells you how quickly the years go by!

To every bride and every family, new and old, who welcomes me into these moments, thank you. It is an honor and a privilege each time. 🙏🌸
