Join Crime Stoppers of Houston as they promote safe and practical strategies for public servants when interacting with community members with autism. This Lunch & Learn will take place on September 18th, where attendees can expect a complimentary lunch, connection with other community members, and education surrounding de-escalation strategies and effective communication.

🌟Member Spotlight🌟

Meet Ken! Ken is our resident chef at Summerhouse, and can be seen cooking lunch with his group and for his family! Ken loves a quiet morning with jazz music and talking to his family on his phone. He is a super hard worker at volunteer sites, and doesn't stop working until his task is complete!

According to his staff member, Ken shares his knowledge of street signs with his group and is an absolute math wiz! We are so glad that you are apart of our Summerhouse community, Ken!

💙United Way Coffee & Quality Fellows Program💙

We are excited to celebrate two staff members who have been accepted into the United Way's Coffee & Quality Fellows Program:

🌟Angie, Community Program Director
🌟Andrea, Workforce Development Manager

Angie and Andrea recently attended their first session as part of the 3rd cohort of fellows, where they met cohort members from a variety of organizations around Houston, worked through SOAR worksheets, and began setting up a site visit with another organization. Through this program, they will learn about leveraging data and other tools to promote continuous improvement within Summerhouse. We can't wait to see what they learn!
