Our programs create pathways for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to explore interests, develop skills, and achieve personal milestones. We recently wrapped up our 2-week Pre-ETS Program with high school students from Katy ISD, where participants gained valuable pre-employment transition skills while exploring future career opportunities and making meaningful connections with their peers.

Through guidance from Pursuit Employment Coaches and engaging, hands-on learning experiences, students explored workplace expectations, strengthened communication and teamwork skills, built confidence, and developed job readiness skills that will serve them well in future employment settings.

Congratulations to all of the students who completed the program! We look forward to seeing all that you accomplish in the future.

We recently wrapped up our 3-week Pre-ETS Program at the Houston Food Bank, where participating students from HISD gained valuable pre-employment transition skills while making a meaningful impact in their community.

Through guidance from Pursuit Employment Coaches and hands-on volunteer experiences through the HEART Program, students explored workplace expectations, built confidence, developed job readiness skills, and began creating a roadmap for future employment opportunities.

Cooking with Chef Luis was a delicious success!

Our residents had the opportunity to get hands-on in the kitchen while preparing a comforting meal of mac and beef, along with a fresh and flavorful fruit parfait made with pineapple, coconut yogurt, and raspberries. 🍍🥥🍓

Cooking activities help build independence, confidence, life skills, and creativity—all while having fun and enjoying great food together.

Staying active means feeling good and being able to enjoy the moment.

Our Senior Health & Fitness Day was full of movement, laughter, and time spent together. It was great to see everyone showing up and having fun.

Wellness looks different for everyone, and that’s okay. Let’s commit to a daily activity, no matter how big or small.

What a day! Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, the 2026 Power of Pursuit Luncheon raised a record-breaking $450,000+ to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and autism across Greater Houston.

With an inspiring message from Chris and Nik Nikic and the support of 260+ attendees, sponsors, and advocates, we were reminded that meaningful progress happens one step at a time.
