Our programs create pathways for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to explore interests, develop skills, and achieve personal milestones. Each small victory represents a possibility realized and a step toward greater independence.

We had SO much fun at the Museum of Illusions! From optical illusions to mind-bending exhibits, we spent the day questioning just about everything we saw. 😂

Can you even tell what’s real anymore?

Huge thanks to the Museum of Illusions for a seriously fun experience! We laughed, we took WAY too many pictures, and we definitely left a little more confused than we arrived.

The 14th Annual Clay Shoot for a Cause is coming up Monday, November 9, 2026, and we’re ready to hit the range!

🐾 We’re so excited to celebrate Theodore and his new job at PetSuites as a Kennel Assistant as a part of McNair Employment Center! 🐶

Theodore loves his job because he gets to put his Animal Science degree to work every day. This truly is a dream job for him, and he is absolutely thriving!

Theodore and his family are thrilled with how well he’s doing, and we couldn’t be more proud of him.

We were so honored to partner with Home Run Hitters on a weeklong summer camp at Pursuit Center. The goal is to provide increased opportunities and fun interactions for individuals who have disabilities affecting their communication and their independent control of the environment.

They truly transformed our classrooms into summer camp, and created an environment for everyone to succeed. There was lots of singing, smiling, and new friendships formed!

Making a splash with creativity! Our participants had so much fun creating their own mini aquariums using clear jars, colorful water, gravel, and floating fish.

This hands-on activity encouraged creativity, fine motor skills, and following directions, all while letting everyone create a unique underwater world of their own. 🐟

We loved seeing their excitement as their mini aquariums came to life!

3 weeks of creativity, learning, and seeing the world through a different lens 📸

Our participants recently wrapped up a three-week Photography course with instructors from Houston Center for Photography, celebrating with an exhibition of the incredible work they created along the way!

A huge thank you to the Houston Center for Photography for partnering with Pursuit Center and making this opportunity possible. Their team secured funding that allowed us to offer this program completely free to our participants, and we are so grateful for their support.

We were so grateful to welcome the Harmony Bridge Initiative, a volunteer music program dedicated to sharing music, creating smiles, and building meaningful connections through the power of music.

Talented volunteer musicians filled our campus with beautiful performances on the piano, violin, and harp. Our participants sang along, clapped, smiled, and shared in the joy of making music together. It was a wonderful afternoon full of connection, laughter, and memories.

A heartfelt thank you to the Harmony Bridge Initiative for spending part of your summer break with us.

A huge thank you to for making a big difference at Pursuit Center!

Thanks to their generous support, we were able to purchase a new 10-passenger van that helps our students safely travel and explore all around Houston on daily community outings.
