One of the greatest lessons on this path has been learning the difference between being seen and being truly witnessed.
Not everyone who listens is listening to truly connect. Some are listening to interpret, compare, and respond through the lens of who they believe you used to be.
As I continue to deepen my relationship with Spirit, nature, prayer, ceremony, and remembrance, I have become more mindful of where I share my sacred experiences.
This is not about secrecy or superiority, just divine discernment.
I have learned to pay attention to how I feel during and after an exchange.
Do I feel seen, honored and more connected to my own knowing?
Or do I leave questioning, defending, explaining, or shrinking parts of myself?
Healthy relationships do not require agreement. They require respect.
Some of the most nourishing conversations, connections, and exchanges I have experienced are with those where we can simply acknowledge one another and say:
Thank you for sharing.
That is powerful.
I honor your experience.
I have never seen it from that perspective before.
Thank you for your vulnerability and trusting me to share with.
Not because we always agree or see everything the same way. But because there is mutual respect, curiosity, and reciprocity.
There is no need to compete, compare, or translate another person's experience through our own lens. Just beautiful souls witnessing one another in the fullness of their unique relationship with the Great Spirit, Creator, and Creation.
That kind of exchange is sacred.
As we continue to honor our own paths, I give thanks for the relationships rooted in reciprocity, respect, and genuine celebration of one another's gifts.
May we all cultivate connections where our souls feel witnessed, not measured.
Asè. Aho. Amen. A-wombman.
